POSTS STORIES REELS

Today October 3rd marks my first ever event, at my basement venue, The Basement.
Before this I was studying photography & realized I had to create an open mic after the first one I had been to told me they had to stop for a while.

the open mic community was so special and I had never seen it before nor even been around musicians; so it was important for me to figure out how to hold that space.

here are some amazing memories from The Basement which ran from 2014- COVID.

this space held countless open mics, live bands shows, acoustic nights, craft nights, drum circles, late night hangs, workshops, sound healing sessions, & more.

we also served specialty coffees and teas including hot chocolate with coffee and a splash of water with syrups, whipped cream, sprinkles, and marshmallows.
everything about this space was cozy and healing and a safe space for everyone to share.

very grateful for this space in my parents old promotional company office!! ( we can still make you merch and stuff to this day though.)

I would not be doing the work I'm doing currently without this space. every donation went towards getting a PA system which I still currently use for live sound and gave me the experience needed to be a freelance sound engineer. 💓

long live the long island music and arts community!!
I will always run an open mic and give back to the community that shaped my life and so many others.

happy 12 year anniversary to me, still going strong even without this amazing space. 🩷

thank you to the friends who helped shape this along the way Sam, Matt Peluso, Amanda, Erica, RJ & my parents for letting me use their space
