If you were ever going to do anything; to say anything, donate, talk to your friends and family etc do it now. Although it has already been too late for too long for too many, it is never too late to stand on the side of justice, love, and hope ✊🏾❤️🤲🏾🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸 link in bio for actions and donations 🍉🍉🍉🍉 @studentsforpalestinesydneyuni by @djgurugayatri
Creatives for Palestine!!! Art has always played an important role in resistance. Integral to my creative practice is the power of art to affect change! I stand in solidarity with Palestine and oppressed people everywhere!! ✊🏾✌🏾 None of us are free until all of us are free!!! 🇵🇸🇵🇸🍉🍉❤️❤️❤️🤎🤎🤎 Please read and share this letter from Australian venues and workers, written in response to Israel’s ongoing genocidal assault in Palestine and an increasingly hysterical climate of censorship back home. We are especially encouraging venues to endorse this letter by signing and sharing onto their social media pages. This will help create a safer environment for Palestinian events in Australian nightlife, and send a strong message that we stand united and will not be intimidated. This Wednesday 13 December, join us in a day of solidarity by wearing your keffiyeh, lapel pins or solidarity shorts in support of Palestinian people, and demand their voices be heard. End occupation. Ceasefire now. From the river to the sea!! ✊🏾✌🏾🇵🇸❤️🍉 Always was, always will be!! as always - links in bio Design: @jaccoud_design by @djgurugayatri

Me along with everyone else trying to get a good photo of the rare blue supermoon! 🌚 🌚🌚 The last few months have been a lot but thank god for football and @matildas 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾💛💚 no doubt the most patriotic I’ve ever been in my life 😂😂 thank you to @kelela for the most transcendent show🥹🥹thank you also to @chai_walli chai and also thank you to tea in general!! 🫖 Anyways, here is some writing which might align - an embarrassingly tacky love poem (but it does involve whales 🐳) tysm to @mascarareview @_michellecahill for this! Tysm also to @roannagonsalves who provided most gracious feedback on my work through the @writingnsw diverse mentorship program I did in 2021 (coincidentally alongside another great writer @tabitha__________ @textualhealing__ ) 🩵🩵 I have also finally put my @mamalbury piece of 2020 up online too. I’ve been reflecting on grief and loss lately. I think both these pieces are a bit magical, and also give a silver/sliver of hope when it’s needed most. Here also are some photos of my ammama and her sisters - a very strong matriarchal woman whom I love lots & inspires me - also v stylish !!! 🤎🤎🤎🫶🏾 I haven’t had a lot of time to post here - I feel like recently time has been both incredibly slow but also too fast? Maybe that happens as we get older? Anyway, I was meaning to post this in #PoetryMonth but Rabindranath Tagore (another fave poet) said “the butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough” 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 As always, links in bio ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹🐳🐳🧜🏾‍♀️🧜🏾‍♀️🧜🏾‍♀️🩶🩶🩵💙🩵🩵💙💙💙 by @djgurugayatri
The passing of time is weird but here we are again. I hate end of year posts! Grateful for so many things but mainly the people and the spaces and communities (new empires?) we are building (But can someone pls give me a sonos roam?) Too many to list here! Also quietly (maybe loudly idk) proud of things too. The launch party for @kerfew_au was a real big one of them, showcased here!!! Anyways, I am djing on the 31st of December at the bank hotel with some old friends @adamlewislovesyou @domalessio @carolina_gasolina 6-8ish come through if you like, it’s free and I won’t be djing in a sari but I will most definitely be playing Beyoncé. And then make sure you get a good nights sleep!!! Remember time is a colonial construct 🥲🥲🥲 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🌚🌚🌚 by @djgurugayatri
