Summer elegance and hands up energy is how we rolled last Saturday!! From first song to the last Leah and Ethan’s party crew was an absolute blast, I had such a good time keeping the vibes high :) Peep the last pic and I got caught adjusting the speaker 😆 can’t be too precise these days!

In January, I started working with Knapp Creek Event Center to help them update their light show for events. They’ve got an awesome system there with washes, beams, and (most importantly!) haze for giving some real impact on the visual!

Needless to say I was in a bit over my head compared with my own dj light show (which I’m also very proud of, but it’s way different haha). So, it’s incredibly fun and rewarding to see my learning pay off with an incredible dancefloor shot from a recent wedding!

Huge congrats to Maddie and Kevin on an amazing wedding last weekend, and thank you to @ashleepaigephoto for sharing the pic with me! by @djnathankabat

They spent over a decade finding their way to this day.

A day filled with laughter, happy tears, heartfelt vows, and a love that never stopped choosing the other person.

“What you may not know is that me falling for you was never really falling. It was walking into a house and knowing that I was finally home.”

Some people search a lifetime for that feeling.

Blake & Brittany found it in each other.

A Birds Eye view of being in the zone 🎧
Had an amazing time at Walker Homestead for a perfect spring day in Iowa City :)

3 lighting sources: mine (vibe) the venue (aesthetic) and the Lord (glorious!)

Oh hey there, another post after 6 months, crazy!!

I’m Nathan in case you’re new here, you can catch me with a sore voice the day after a wedding because I can’t help but join the party in singing along with great music :)

Couldn’t be more grateful for an amazing start to 2026, and so excited for the season ahead!

@oliviakatherinephotography thanks for the pic! Consider it proof that I do my best to stay hydrated haha by @djnathankabat

Fall busy season + new headshots + a break between meetings = a new intro post!

My name is Nathan Kabat (rhymes with rabbit 🐇), and I’m blessed by the opportunity to help couples + their families celebrate in style on one of the biggest days of their lives :)

When I’m not behind the decks you might find me grilling burgers 🍔 or playing some frisbee golf 🥏, or experimenting with some video editing (check out the YouTube!)

2025 has been amazing so far, can’t wait to finish the season strong - we’re keeping the parties rolling into 2026 and beyond!

In an effort to grab a fun Timelapse for setting up, I neglected to check if my phone was in a good spot for it. 😂 the final product turned out great, which is more important!! by @djnathankabat
