Op zaterdag 12 en 19 september 2026 organiseert American Football Bond Nederland de Open Try-Outs. De Try-Out vindt plaats bij de Almere Flevo Phantoms. Tijdens de Try Outs krijg jij de kans om je skills te laten zien en een plek in de voorselectie te verdienen.

Proces na de Try-Outs
De coachingstaff bepaalt of ze jou interessant genoeg vinden om door te laten gaan naar de voorselectie. Hierover hoor je na 19 september meer.

Talent kan je ver brengen.
Maar er is één waarheid die in sport altijd blijft bestaan:
Hard werken verslaat talent, wanneer talent niet hard genoeg werkt.

Wanneer het zwaar wordt. Wanneer het niet vanzelf gaat.
Wanneer talent alleen niet meer genoeg is.

Want uiteindelijk gaat het niet om de vraag: Hoe goed ben je?
De echte vraag is: Wie ben je wanneer het moeilijk wordt?

Met die vraag gaan we verder. Daar bouwen we op voort.
Daar begint de toekomst van Flagfootball Nederland.

In elk leerproces komt er een moment waarop je moet kiezen.

Ga je een stap vooruit — en durf je te leren van je fouten?
Of doe je een stap terug, richting de veiligheid van wat je al kent?

En soms ontdek je dat het doel dat je voor ogen had niet meer te behalen is.
Op dat moment wordt aanpassingsvermogen je grootste kracht.

Want winnen gaat niet altijd over het scorebord.

Het gaat over groeien, incasseren, blijven bewegen.
En over de moed hebben om door te gaan.

Dat maakt je een winnaar — misschien niet in de wedstrijd,
maar wel in het leven.

Ons proces en ons verhaal ging nooit alleen over winnen.

Het ging over vallen en weer opstaan.
En over doorgaan wanneer stoppen de makkelijkste keuze lijkt.

Tijdens deze reis hebben we geleerd dat winnen niet begint op het scoreboard —
het begint met De wil om te winnen.

Elke uitdaging. Elke tegenslag. Elke stap vooruit.
Het heeft ons gevormd.

Maar één ding is duidelijk: dit proces is nog niet voorbij. Dit is nog maar het BEGIN....

Nederlands vs Georgië
Vanaf de eerste seconde werd duidelijk: Elke fout telt. Elke play kan het verschil maken. Op dit niveau kun je niemand onderschatten.

Maar al snel beseften we iets belangrijks.
De grootste tegenstander op het veld…waren wij zelf.

De spanning. De emotie. De druk.
Alles kwam samen in deze wedstrijd.
