Excited about this new opportunity and ready for the challenge!💪🏾 by @dmcguire619

Proud to announce that I just became the General Manager for the San Diego Surf of the USBL. Our head coach is 17 year NBA vet Olden Polynice. I’m Really excited about this opportunity to continue to help shine a light on San Diego basketball as well as helping athletes reach their goals and dreams of becoming professional basketball players. This is not to be confused with the Oceanside Surf of the ABA and TBL. We are holding tryouts next weekend on the 21st of Feb. at Lincoln High school. Home games will be played at Mira Costa College. Real hoopers only! There is no charge to tryout, but must be pre-approved before hand. You can sign up over @thesdsurf 🏀 by @dmcguire619

Man! It’s been a long time coming. I’m extremely humbled and honored to be the 1st Lincoln High School basketball player to have his number officially retired! We’ve been known for our NFL players and from the day I put this jersey on, this was my goal and what I envisioned….. I’ve worn a lot of jerseys throughout my career, but I always took the most pride in this 1. To be recognized as 1 of the best to ever do it coming up out of this community and city! To have it happen in the “Original Gym” where I put in countless hours of hard work and dedication made it even more special. I got overcome with emotion while thanking some of the people who helped me along the way who are no longer with us and didn’t get everything I wanted to say out. This honor wasn’t just for me, it was for all my teammates and coaches I’ve had throughout this journey, as well as my whole section of the city….. South East San Diego! To my Pops, Coach Paulk, and my lil bro Mel Mel @mrdreams_cometru who are no longer with us….. We did that!!!! #SkyLivin’ #TheSDsuwooperhoopers 🤟🏾👌🏾 by @dmcguire619
