Next up this thing needs a louder exhaust (to help cover the rattling and suspension squeaks) by @dog_gone_studios
My friend told me i should sell this thing so I let him drive it and he changed his mind. by @dog_gone_studios
Please welcome to the fleet my 2003 ford expedition Eddie Bauer through a twisted course of events I made money getting this truck. Started off trading some side work for a parts truck then picking up another dirt cheap parts truck and turning the 3 into one really nice truck with under 100k miles on it while selling off the unused parts. Friday morning I put it to use towing this carcass of an f150 200 miles which it did flawlessly! The f150 had a good 2v 4.6 in it along with a cool set of chrome wheels hopefully I’ll be able to sell off the rest to turn a bit of a profit on it to raise money for more junk cars. by @dog_gone_studios
Finally took the lifted Vic out in the dirt had a blast. It is surprising good in the dirt even with the worn out steering rack. What a great use of under $1000. “It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up” Ferris Bueller by @dog_gone_studios
Traded off the lx sport for this 1994 5 speed manual Mazda b3000 4x4 it’s actually really good shifter is a little messed up and the a/c doesn’t work but otherwise this thing is a solid little off road machine. On the way home I got a little stuck in the mud almost had to get out and engage the locking hubs but she made it out by @dog_gone_studios
Found a nice set of all terrains in the junkyard along with some rough country shocks from an f150 by @dog_gone_studios
Please welcome to the fleet this absolute unit of an 03 CVPI I recently purchased. It was a cop car then a cab then a parts car and then after a couple other owners I got it dirt cheap. It had a diff out of a 98 under it so it could roll around and the seller included a lsd out of another CVPI. So a couple evenings turning wrenches and the old cobra wheels off the blue one and she’s roadworthy! The question is now what? This car has 330k miles of abuse and a non pi 4.6 swapped in at some point but it runs MINT trans shifts perfectly. I’m thinking it’d make the perfect gambler 500 rig! by @dog_gone_studios
Picked up a set of new in box Kooks headers for this thing early this morning off marketplace decided to take it to the meetup because the weather is starting to get nice again. Driving it gets me excited to swap the motor by @dog_gone_studios
When I took this picture I was doing great the sport was running great with a minor exhaust leak and a slight misfire. Then the miss got worse and the engine started sounding like it’s knocking and the transmission finally got warm enough to reveal it refuses to shift above about half throttle soooo doing some digging this morning the miss and knock sounds are a absolutely massive exhaust leak at the manifold but the transmission is more than likely shot. That being said what do you think the fate of this car should be? Do I fix the exhaust leak and gamble on a used transmission or is this now a parts car? by @dog_gone_studios
To those of you who don’t watch my story i bought this last weekend! It’s a 2004 LX Sport with 191k miles. Why did I buy this? Idk it was cheap! Like dirt cheap like $650 cheap. The body … I don’t think there’s a straight panel on this car. The interior… the seats are ripped the console is decent aside from the lid and the engine… it ate a timing chain guide like it’s just gone. It’s all shattered in the oil pan. I bought this thing for parts BUT this car has excellent potential the good parts are really good and if all it needs is a timing job it’ll make a fantastic winter daily. What do you think I should do with it? Gambler 500 car? 24 hours of lemons? Or maybe just clean it up and drive it or should I stick to my original plan to part it out? by @dog_gone_studios
After years of searching I finally found a set of factory Crown Vic mud flaps in the junkyard! by @dog_gone_studios
Took the Vic on a drive out to McCall Idaho a couple weeks ago probably will be the last mountain drive this car sees with its original engine. In the next month or so I plan on pulling it and swapping all its performance parts to a freshly rebuilt aluminum short block I’m working on for it. While it’s out I’ll be cleaning up the engine bay and doing a j mod on the transmission. by @dog_gone_studios
