Thursday morning practice with @kerrkeepers by @domoly1

This early morning soccer training highlights key goalkeeper techniques like the power step and safe landing on hip and shoulder to build explosive, injury-free diving saves Morning training with @kerrkeepers 💪🙌 #goalkeepertraining by @domoly1

🧠 When the ball is traveling slightly across your body and you can’t get your chest directly behind it, trying to stay on your feet often makes the catch less secure🧠👇🏼

✅ Instead:👇🏼

✔️Attack the ball with your hands first. Don’t wait for it to come to you.

✔️ Secure the catch, then immediately collapse into the dive. Let your body follow the ball’s direction of travel.

✔️ Absorb the ball’s momentum with the ground. The collapse dive spreads the force through your body instead of leaving your hands to take all the impact.

✔️ Keep the ball tight to your chest as you land to eliminate any chance of it spilling loose.

✔️ Rolling with the ball’s momentum is much safer than trying to stop all of its force while remaining upright.

❗️By following the ball’s path instead of resisting it, you create a more controlled landing, protect the ball, and dramatically increase your chances of holding onto the save under pressure🧤
