A little Charlie Mackesy-inspired ode to my four-legged loves 🤍 #velcrocreatures by @dont.question.me.ottb
This spring, I was feeling pretty defeated. Q kept telling me all winter, over and over again, that he was uncomfortable, and no matter what I tried, I couldn’t seem to make him feel better. With his kissing spine diagnosis, I assumed his sore back was the culprit. Turns out, ulcers were playing a much bigger role than I realized. After treating him in May and June, the “sore back” symptoms I had been chasing disappeared. All along, he was asking for friends, forage, freedom, and a hefty dose of GastroGard and sucralfate to undo some of the management choices I had made with the very best intentions. It’s humbling to realize that some of the things you thought were best for your horse weren’t actually what he needed. Nature has a way of reminding us what truly matters, if we’re willing to listen. I’m so glad we stuck it out, kept listening, and found what works for him. More than anything, I’m just so happy to see him happy. 🤍 by @dont.question.me.ottb
Went pony surfing with a new friend! I swear I was going to do a deep groom but… a warm beach sand roll sounded way more fun for Q. #SplishSplashQ #metaglasses by @dont.question.me.ottb

We had ourselves a goddamn blast today! 🐎🍂 Huge thank you to @wentworthhunt and the landowners for hosting such a fun day! #thisisourfirstrodeo #metaglasses #betweentheears by @dont.question.me.ottb
Explored some new trails today! We had to walk on the road a bit and Q handled the cars passing him, a biker peddling toward him, and a dog running toward him like a champ 👑 by @dont.question.me.ottb
Decided last minute to take a moonlight stroll on the beach. #SplishSplash Q’s having a blast! by @dont.question.me.ottb
Q is really digging this whole trail thing 🍎 by @dont.question.me.ottb
We decided to join the @nhhorsecouncil ride last minute, and I’m SO glad we did! Lots of firsts for Q: ATVs with dogs attached, a mule, bikes, some technical terrain… and a slightly unplanned detour because apparently we like to keep things interesting. He came out a little spicy, but once we got going, he settled right in and handled it all like a champ. We even swapped horses mid-ride—which was a first for both of us! Huge thank you to Marielle Watson for taking such good care of Q and for all the videos. 🤍 by @dont.question.me.ottb
