Splitting the Airbnb is easy. Keeping track of who paid you back takes a little more attention.

Your share, what you paid upfront, and what you’re still owed are three different numbers. Keep them connected so you know what each tournament trip actually cost you.

Less time sorting expenses. More time on your game.

Dormie Tour is coming soon. Send a message to learn more.

Looked good the whole way. Still didn’t drop. 😂⛳

Same reason an invoice and money in the bank are two different things.

Dormie helps you keep track of both.

Uploading a bank statement to ChatGPT or Claude and asking for a profit summary can feel like getting your bookkeeping done.

But a summary is only part of the job. Was that deposit a customer payment or a transfer? Are all accounts included? Do the balances reconcile? Can you trace the numbers back to the records?

AI can help explain, organize and review information. That doesn’t make a chat conversation a replacement for a maintained accounting system and a process for checking the work.

Use the tools. Keep the records. Check the numbers.

Your card activity on Sunday may not show the full cost of tournament week.

Check the final hotel bill against posted charges. Look for later rental, fuel or toll charges. Confirm what’s still owed to your caddie.

Keep holds separate from settled charges, and link later charges or credits back to the right tournament when you review the week.

Dormie Tour is coming soon for professional golfers. Message Dormie to register your interest.

Your agency paid three freelancers. Do you know which projects those costs belong to?

When you can connect freelancer costs to the work they support, it’s easier to see what each project brings in and what it costs to deliver.

That gives you a clearer picture as you make decisions about pricing, staffing, and future projects. And remember, what’s left still needs to cover your other business expenses.

The leaderboard doesn’t show the miles.

Hotels. Entry fees. Caddie fees. Another tank of gas. The costs keep adding up between tournaments, too.

Dormie Tour is being built to help professional golfers see where the money goes, by month, tournament and season.

An extra revision here. A “quick favor” there. Work that wasn’t in the original agreement can eat up that increase.

Be clear about what’s included, track the time each client takes, and bill the extra work.

Your books should help you see whether the higher price is actually leaving more profit.

Know someone who just raised their prices? Send this to them.

Good books. Good company. Preferably on the golf course. ⛳

Why pick just one?

A full calendar doesn’t always tell the full story.

Some services bring in more revenue but take more time, travel or follow-up than you realize. Looking at the costs and hours behind the work helps you see which services are pulling their weight and which may need a pricing adjustment.

Dormie helps service business owners make sense of those numbers.

Want a clearer picture of yours? Send me a message.

Close the laptop. Enjoy the evening.
