Another year, another birthday approaching, another excuse to throw a bunch of punks into the deep end and see what happens. Katy Needs A Life and Dormouse Noise Society present the next round of PUNK ROCK LOTTERY! We’re throwing Kalamazoo’s singers, guitarists, bassists, and drummers into a hat and letting fate decide the lineups. 🎲 December 1 at @thesugarbowlkzoo: The drawing! Show up and meet your new bandmates. 🎸 January 30 at @dormousetheatre: The main event! Each band has to write five original songs, learn one cover, and battle it out for prizes for first, second, and last place. What do you need? Besides showing up to the drawing and main event, you’ll need your own gear and your own transportation to get around. Thats it! Even better? All proceeds will be donated to a charity chosen by last year’s winning band, Meat Cute! So all this musical mayhem is going toward a good cause. Interested in sponsoring the event or donating? Reach out to katyneedsalife@outlook.com or send donations via Venmo to @katyneedsalife. Let’s make something weird, Kalamazoo. 🖤 Artwork by Kasey Brown by @dormousetheatre

A little love goes a long way. 💕 Dormouse has always been about bringing people together, making room for creativity, and seeing what happens when good people and big ideas collide. To everyone who’s donated, THANK YOU! Your generosity helps us keep creating, supporting local artists, and making space for all the weird and wonderful things that make Dormouse what it is. We’re lucky to have such a wonderful community in our corner. We couldn’t do this without you. 🖤 by @dormousetheatre
