I found this that I painted a while ago (I think 2006/7) commissioned by papa al - continue resting my angel - and wanted to share. #artwork #painting #jewelry #fashion #artandfashion by @douglashenrylewis

This Weekend I thoroughly enjoyed the City of Science with my loved one. We climbed numerous steps, I lost my breath a few times, almost fell down to the ground twice, admired architecture, recorded another @youtube episode, and discovered history pertaining to the @uniheidelberg. They locked their students up for being a Bit too cantankerous circa 1778-1914 🤣. More on this later…

A #Juneteenth Jamboree of Jubilant Juxtapositions…✊🏾🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈🇩🇪 I saw things….i admired.

A festive pride parade in front of the „church house.“
A „Black Cowboys“ photographic exhibition by Sabine bungert/stefan dolfen.
„In the shadow of the American Dream“ by Richard Sharum.
Very serious construction alongside centuries old gothic architecture.
It gave me a Sense of my homeland.
Nothing quite compares to NC hush puppies…
But this will suffice, for now lol #beyonce by @douglashenrylewis

Happy #PRIDE 🏳️‍🌈🤍🖤🤍🖤 I started a YouTube channel with my partner to have open + honest conversations regarding visibility & queer relationships. I’m excited about this as a healing process because I still had lots of shame. I hope you enjoy the talks, like, share, subscribe, etc… tap the #linkinbio #representation #lgbtqia #queer by @douglashenrylewis

Last night i watched #realitycheck ANTM & my mind instantly went back to the exhilaratiôn of this September Day. I will never forget this moment posing with @miss_jalexander backstage in 2019 #NYFW with @ericcjcross @brandonnicholasbaker! Madame embraced us & made us feel welcome. Moreover, I will never forget watching on TV with my mom in the early 2000s & being spelbound with that audacity and glamour! Sending love, light, & massive healing to this soldier of savoire-faire. Keep shining your light and showcasing to the world that it is « A OKAY » to be bold, authentic, & queer without fear! #blackhistorymonth #jalexander #antm by @douglashenrylewis

“Sans, Souci” — without worry! @sanssouci.palace , Villa Illaire, Chinesisches Haus, Pineapple Haus, Orangerie-Schloss, admiring the horticulture. 🇩🇪🇪🇺🌟🎉 #sanssouci #architecture #design #potsdam #arthistory #arteducation by @douglashenrylewis

Still in a trance from visiting @spsgmuseum and marvelling at the many Baroque beauties of Frederick II of Prussia built between 1763-1769. Ironically during couture week, I’m mentally orchestrating all sorts of editorial/runway fantasies involving #schiaparelli #zacposen #charlesjames or #galliano for Dior with @manoloblahnik & Harry Winston/Chopard/Cartier Jewelry! 🤣 One can certainly dream! When I entered the Marble Gallery (pictured first) & the Grotto Room, lined to the ceiling with sea shells & minerals, my mouth dropped to the floor. Another favorite was viewing The Writing Room, and seeing the call buttons (last) for the wardrobe assistants and seamstresses: Garderobefrau and Schneiderin. Shoutout to all the “garderobefrau’s” across time & space, helping to keep the world a more fabulous place.
