as seen in British Vogue August issue !!!!

woke up on my 30th birthday to an email from @britishvogue about a 3 month partnership to showcase some of my favorite wedding images - and we couldn’t have dreamt up a better wedding, couple, or celebration for our first issue than Lauren + Nick’s wedding !!! We knew when we met them for their engagement session in malibu that they were magic; so naturally spending a weekend with their closest family and friends with @doverhallexperiences was equally as special. From the speeches, first looks, dance parties, and cake straight to the face (still thinking about that move, Nick 🤪), we were absolutely honored to be able to document their story. Ready to do it again next year guys????

Here’s to the most incredible team who made every part of that weekend perfection:

September at Dover Hall 🌿 A palette that felt like the perfect transition into fall. Warm coral, dusty pink, berry, golden yellow and plenty of textural greens brought so much life to this reception. Colorful, layered, a little unexpected, and still incredibly refined.

One of our favorite kinds of palettes to design with.

🦋 The butterfly sat and watched through the morning and into the afternoon upon the Sofreh. Perfectly perched with harmonizing blue-tipped wings. There she remained as guests, family, and wedding party arrived. When Aurian took his spot nearby, I was sure she would take flight. But she sat still.

Alas, Amanda processed down the floral-lined lane, and the blue-tipped butterfly simply beat her wings. It wasn’t until Aurian began making his vows that she took flight, her first stop upon a guest’s head, and then she found her new home upon an apple-green bell of Ireland stem along the aisle, a new post from which to witness their promises and first kiss. When she left, I cannot say. But I have no doubt the beauty of the day was fuel for her as it was for me.

Love. Art. Nature. All so very good for the soul.

Congratulations Amanda & Aurian. Your love is a wonder!

@michelletaylorspearman

Good wedding imagery doesn’t just document the day. It changes how you remember it.
At Arcadia Pictures, we capture weddings through both photography and cinematic wedding films, not just how your day looked, but how it felt to be there.

Because years from now, the goal isn’t just to have beautiful wedding photos.

Had a really fun morning with Steve White, our beekeeper at @DoverHallEvents and @7LadyVineyards, and @BrendanKingCBS6 from WTRV CBS 6, as Brendan taped a story about Steve's work with Bees in the Richmond Area for the morning news tomorrow at 5 and 6 am on CBS 6. A great way to start your day for the early morning risers. 🐝 🐝 🐝 Buzzzzzzzzz. Our beautiful bees are part of the @Dover_Hall Sustainability program.
