Our founder and CEO, Ms. Shauna Fung Yee, with @nigeriainjamaica High Commissioner, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Maureen Tamuno, at Nigeria's 63rd Independence celebration in Kingston, Jamaica, on September 30, 2023. Nigeria's independence is officially on October 1. Fung Yee is a Jamaican award-winning entrepreneur with strong ties to the music industry. She specialises in multiple music genres, including Afrobeats, Latin Urban, Reggae, and Dancehall. She's widely recognised as one of the most experienced and influential entrepreneurial consultants in the Caribbean. Fung Yee played a vital role in helping popularise the now-widespread and well-loved African music genre Afrobeats and its artists throughout the Caribbean — with the influence of her 21 years of experience working in radio, she was able to distribute Afrobeats music and sensitise media practitioners, friends, and business colleagues throughout the Caribbean about the genre and its various artists since 2013. Fung Yee is equipped with years of experience working in the music industry as a publicist, songwriter, A&R executive, music business consultant, merger & acquisition executive, brand strategist, and booking agent— which has allowed her to connect and work with some of music powerhouse players globally. August 2023 marks her 19th year in the music industry. Down 2 Earth Productions (D2EP) is dubbed "Caribbean Home of Afrobeats and Latin." Founded in 2004, and proudly represents premier African and Latin American artists along with leading entertainment agencies since 2015. It's the first and only music business company of its kind in the Caribbean. The fully integrated music business company officially expanded its brand to Africa in 2015, and since then, it has successfully helped to strengthen the border between Africa and the Caribbean musically by connecting artists and music producers for song collaboration projects. Fung Yee is the founder of Down 2 Earth Agency (D2EA), a Caribbean award-winning consulting firm, connecting African and Caribbean businesses—unlocking trade, investment, and tourism opportunities, and hold membership with the Caribbean Hotel &Tourism Association. by @down2earthproductions
