2 shows in 2 weeks recap!!

🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

I had a blast at the #npcchicagoextravaganza and the #dexterjacksonclassic the last two weekends! I cleaned up 1st place in all the classes I entered, but sadly lost the overall bikini titles to two amazing competitors with HUGE legs 🙌🏻 I got the feedback and inspo I need to go back into a longer off season to add muscle to my legs and glutes (all glory goes to @tristanjames_pfc) and work on my front pose (ty @stevemousharbash_official).

I really love this sport- it’s taught me how to truly eat healthy (whole foods and low sugar), built muscle mass that will support me in aging healthily, and led me to my partner @dannytayz and other like-minded baddies with discipline, goals and drive.

I get to do this, and I feel thankful and lucky 🫶🏻

Hello, it’s me 👋🏻

I’m Dr. Grace and I’m the founder of @gracetherapyandwellnesscenter, a private practice and nonprofit conglomerate focused on holistic mental and physical wellness for all. We acknowledge that our world unfairly advantages and disadvantages certain people based on their identities, and we aim to dismantle those systems through therapy and advocacy.

I have been a professor and supervisor at Northwestern University, and do a bit of research and writing with Adler University, where I got my PhD. I believe that curiosity and learning from others makes us better people.

I have 4 gym memberships and consider myself a yogi, bodybuilder, and pole dancer. I’ve found community through these practices.

I have two dogs and two younger brothers. I’m from Miami, FL but Chicago is the place I’ve lived longest- 14 years now! What else do you want to know? 😋 by @dr.gracelifts

Today marks 5 years without getting drunk 🥳

#sobriety #bikinibodybuilder #explorepage #soberversary #healthylifestyle

I have had one glass or sips of alcohol a few times over the last 5 years. But my version of sobriety is not perfection

I stopped drinking for multiple reasons: 1) I realized it was a crutch I leaned on when feeling anxious or out of place in social situations 2) Alcohol is literally a poison to the body 3) I didn’t like who I became sometimes, the way it amplified my feelings

Giving up a substance that is sooo socially ingrained in our society has taught me even more to follow my own North star, who and what I really value, and ways to enjoy life that are not dependent on anything except for me and the people I mutually choose

I had to become okay with feeling uncomfortable. With my social anxiety, with not people-pleasing, with saying no to situations that I don’t enjoy and accepting that that makes me different, and that is okay

Cheers to who I am always becoming. Who are you becoming? I wanna know 💕 by @dr.gracelifts
