ITWY EXERCISES 💪 | Stronger Upper Back, Better Posture!

I–T–W–Y exercises target the scapular stabilizers and posterior shoulder muscles.

🔹 I Raise: Lower trapezius, latissimus dorsi (assists), and posterior shoulder stabilizers.
🔹 T Raise: Middle trapezius, rhomboids, and posterior deltoid.
🔹 W Raise: Middle/lower trapezius, rhomboids, external rotators (infraspinatus & teres minor).
🔹 Y Raise: Lower trapezius, serratus anterior (assists upward rotation), and rotator cuff stabilizers.

📐 Movement planes:
• I & T: Mainly shoulder extension / horizontal abduction, depending on arm position.
• W: Shoulder horizontal abduction with external rotation.
• Y: Shoulder elevation in the scapular plane.

✅ Keep your neck relaxed, avoid shrugging, and prioritize controlled movement over heavy weights.

🔥 Train smart. Move better.

Small movements. Big neurological gains. 🧠💪

Trunk lateral flexion with a rod is a functional exercise used in stroke rehabilitation to improve trunk control, postural stability, lateral weight shifting and bilateral upper-limb coordination.

In neurorehabilitation, the goal is not just movement it's regaining control, balance and independence in everyday activities.

Consistency is the key to recovery.

Save this exercise for your neuro-rehabilitation practice.
