Thankful for the patients I was able to help alongside this team, and for the interns I had the privilege to teach and see grow.

Not the operated leg 👀 — this patient had a full quadriceps tendon rupture on the opposite side, repaired with reconstruction.

What you’re seeing here is the other thigh under TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) for meralgia paresthetica — an entrapment of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve causing burning and numbness on the outer thigh.

While I often tell my patients that TENS is overused, this is one of the few cases where the evidence is on its side.

✅ According to Kılıç et al. (2020, Pain Physician), TENS as part of conservative management effectively reduces pain and remains the preferred first-line treatment before considering injections or surgical decompression, or nervectomy to stop the pain.

Sometimes, the simplest approach is still the smartest one ⚡

Low back pain is the leading cause of disability worldwide 🌎. (WHO)
It affects up to 80% of people at some point in life.

Low back pain should always be approached from a multifactorial perspective. It can result from a combination of physical, psychological, biomechanical, and even social factors. No single treatment fits all⚠️. Every case deserves a tailored, personalised rehab plan.

If you're experiencing low back pain, a detailed assessment by a licensed physical therapist can help identify the root causes and guide your recovery.✅️

From one step with full support to walking freely and cleaning her own home. 💪🧠
This 80-year-old woman started rehabilitation one month after a heavy cerebrovascular accident (stroke / جلطة / شلل نصفي).
Step by step — through effort, trust, and tailored physical therapy — she regained her autonomy.
Her resilience reminds us that age does not define recovery.
