Finally got all these new up-cycled works of wearable art photographed, and they will be on my website and available at 4pm PST tomorrow 10/1! All of my upcycled pieces have detailed measurements; feel free to ask any questions! 🧵

We live in a time when I think it’s really important that artists are seen and respected, and that there’s some understanding of the time, thought, skill that goes into their work. There’s a human behind these colorful wearables I make( thatsa me!) And these OOAK pieces I created took a lot of time and effort; from sourcing, washing, writing down ideas, sketching; and all that comes before the Sewing! Let us respect how artists price their work and the immense amount of creative energy that goes into their work 👏🏻💜

I’ve been working hard on this little pile of upcycled goodies. Lots of appliqué, lots of patchwork, lots of time and lots of patience. Made by a human with two hands… should we even have to say that now?😏

They will all be listed on my website, each one with specific measurements they are all different sizes!

Creating art in this world right now is difficult, yet somehow very empowering! Which one is your favorite?

Creating has changed me in ways I never expected. The more I make, the more I notice the world around me and all the possibilities in it to be present and creative .

I care so much more about what we consume, what we waste, and what we leave behind. And somewhere along the way, creating became about so much more than making clothes. It has really changed the way I see things.

I don’t usually toot my own horn, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I look forward to many more years of being creative on this beautiful earth. 🌍 🧵 🪡

To me the BEST form of marketing for me is to wear what I make, which feels obvious to me,because i adore my colorful patchwork clothing, and I love designing for myself. I had THE best compliment over the weekend: I went to brunch with my hub and when I walked in the hostess said : Welcome!.. OMG, I LOVE your jacket !” Saw my hubs and said”OH YOURS TOO!… then said: “Ok you’re both inspiring “! Both items I made of course 🩷I gave her a business card and told her I make custom orders too if she is interested; but honestly it just lifted my spirits and made my day to know that I inspired somebody 🩷 🧵

if you make anything wearable make things for yourself, wear them out and the moment you get a compliment whip out a business card! I will say it has really helped me to become more confident since I am so shy! If you do customer orders, make sure you let people know that, make sure they know you’re on social media and you’d love for them to follow you!

*The quilt coat is made from two different thrifted quilts, and some vintage linens. and the fleece was made from a boring zip up fleece My husband was really tired of and said “please turn this into something cool I can wear?” so I paired it with a Thrifted blanket with sun moon and stars all over 🌕 🌞 ✨ *

The shirt has been upcycled and patchworked together from several different T-shirts, has an appliqué beret and hand heat pressed text on it! I have a nice little bunch of items to show showcase that I’ve been making lately, I love this one in particular though. Who’s going snatch it up when it goes on my site?🤭☺️🩷

If you do appliqué of any sort, you’re gonna love the @cricut maker 4! And nope, this is not an ad, I’m not cool enough for that. I don’t have enough followers.😄
But if you wanna speed up the lengthy monotony of your appliqué game and start making crafts that you don’t need, but want( cmon crafting heals!) then this is definitely for you! Cami @shop_dogoodies inspired me to get this with all of the rad appliqué she does on her human rights sweatshirts! Go follow her she’s fabulous! And follow me too I’m fabulous too🤭🩷
