Drawing Blood Occult Life Drawing - a ritualistic art experience 💀🎨
🔮 DB portal opened 2016 🕯️🌙✨
POSTS STORIES REELS
As a lifelong life model, I loved seeing Mucha’s photographs of the models behind his paintings. People often see the finished work and think only of the artist’s imagination and skill, but there are real human bodies underneath it. Models hold uncomfortable poses, twist, balance, carry weight and stay still so an artist can understand how flesh, fabric and gravity actually behave. Life models aren’t just people who take their clothes off. We use our bodies as artistic instruments. We lend them to an artist so they can become something else. The painting may become famous and the model’s name may disappear, but their shoulder is still there. Their hand is still there. The particular way they carried that weight is still there. More than a century later, their bodies are still quietly holding up the art. Honoured to be in the presence of Mucha’s work, here in his homeland and mine, Czechia by @drawing_blood_art

💀The High Priestess behind Drawing Blood💀 I am lifting the veil on the creator, producer, promoter, set designer and hostess behind Drawing Blood Occult Life Drawing and that is ME, Venus Vamp ✨ In 2016 I opened the occult art ceremony experience that was to continue for over a decade! In both Sydney/Gadigal land and Melbourne/Naarm I’ve hosted semi-regular sessions at @107projectsinc , @haillilithbar and its current temple @thewesleyanne plus a handful of pop-up experiences. Despite lockdowns, moving interstate and a world gone crazy, somehow this weird, highly niche art experience has continued to flourish with 27 uniquely themed art events and counting 🌞 And it is at this peak I will be closing the portal at the end of 2026 that was opened over 10 years ago. After creating otherworldly experiences for other folk, it is time to focus on my spiritual art journey 💫 Despite being the solo creator behind Drawing Blood, I do also see it as a cult aka collective. A collective of performers, spiritualists, models and of course, the artists 🎨 There are many wonderful souls that have stepped into the ceremonial realm however there are a few shout outs: @kerryx_stabbystab for being my left hand path right hand witch. My main model, occult sister and huge supporter. Shes an incredible prof life model - book her @waywardricarda for being my Sydney main muse and bringing insane props. Artists in Sydney - book her @haillilithbar and the darkly delicious Bek, thank you for assisting with opening the portal in my new home. Also that cocktail was killer To all the photographers that co-created + captured beautiful visions Shout out to the CoSho crew - without all of you (and the costumes..) DB wouldn’t be the exalted art experience that it became @newlibertine YOU KNEW THIS when you planted that seed. I am forever in gratitude for your spiritual vision And my dad for coming up with the sick name 🖤 WE ARE NOT GONE YET - there are 3 more sessions for 2026 AND we are available for pop-up sessions. So keep your grimoires open - there is still much esoteric art to happen ✏️🌟✨ . . . #drawingblood #eventproducer #lifedrawing #occultart #occultlifedrawing by @drawing_blood_art
💀10 YEARS OF OCCULT LIFE DRAWING💀 💀Drawing Blood Occult Life Drawing opened a magickal art portal in 2016 and has been burning bright ever since 🔥🌟💫 🌜The esoteric word of occult life drawing spread over Sydney/Eora Nation and Melbourne/Naarm over multiple venues, altars, pop up appearances, personal grimoires and festivals. We’ve managed to invoke dangerous witches, fierce Vikings, hypnotising vampires, spooky Victorian seances, awe-inspiring Pagan Gods and Goddesses, psychedelic 60s Church of Satan, mystical fortune tellers, creepy Halloween superstitions, occult High Priest/Priestesses and many other esoteric supernatural beings 🕯️✨ 🎨DBOLD couldn’t exist without the amazing artists, hobbyists and curiosity seekers that turn up every session. YOU are the magick key that turns these creative ceremonies into artistic gold. Just have a look at all the artist albums after every session as testament 🌜 🎨✏️ 🕯️And at this peak creative inspiration point it is also time to slowly close the altar doors. This will be the last year of Drawing Blood as a semi-regular themed life drawing session. HOWEVER, we are not completely disappearing into the shadows. We are concocting one-off special events and are available for any pop-up experiences. Watch this ether 👁️🌙💫 🎟️🥂FOR NOW WE STILL HAVE 3 MAGICKAL DRAWING SESSIONS FOR YOUR PLEASURE 🥂🎟️ 25/8/26: Dionysus @thewesleyanne TIX IN BIO 8/10/26: ⭐️ SPECIAL EVENT TBA ⭐️ 27/10/26: Halloween special 😈DEMONS😈 tix tba by @drawing_blood_art
✏️🍇 drawing Dionysus 25/8/26 @thewesleyanne 🍇✏️ Let’s farewell the dark winter nights and welcome in the first warm floral breezes of spring with an artistic celebration led by Dionysus himself with a supernatural Maenad! 🎨🥂 This is a perfect session to get a bit WILD with your artistic expression - draw without looking at the paper, experiment with colours if you’re scared of them, splash paint on the paper and draw from that (naturally in respect of the Wesley Anne 🧴), draw on non-traditional surfaces, sip a wine in honour to Dionysus, listen to the music and let yourself go.. 🍷 TIX IN BIO 🎟️ . . . #lifedrawing #dionysus #occultlifedrawing #occultart #drawingbloodoccultlifedrawing by @drawing_blood_art
