POSTS STORIES REELS

Today, I had the opportunity to present at the American Public Health Association’s Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, on a topic that’s been a major part of my professional journey: policy literacy in health professions education.

I’ve always believed that being a healthcare provider means more than treating patients. It means understanding the systems that shape their care, advocating for our professions, and helping create meaningful change beyond the clinic walls.

Having spent years working in public policy before pursuing chiropractic, it was incredibly rewarding to bring those two worlds together on a national stage.

Grateful for the opportunity to share my perspective, contribute to the conversation, and represent chiropractic in the broader public health community.

There’s still plenty of work to be done, and I’m excited to be part of it.

Thank you to the University of Western States and the Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA) for inviting me out to celebrate National Chiropractic Health Month, the Proclamation we secured from Washington State Governor and of course today which is World Spine Day!

It was a great opportunity to reconnect with students and have some meaningful conversations about chiropractic’s identity, where we are as a profession, and where we want to go.

I always appreciate the opportunity to engage with the next generation of chiropractors. Their enthusiasm, perspectives, and willingness to challenge the status quo give me a lot of optimism for the future of our profession.

Thanks again to everyone who came out and contributed to the conversation! by @drjd_pnw

Proud to see Washington officially recognize October as Chiropractic Health Month! 🙌

Dr. Sloan and I had the opportunity to work on securing this year’s proclamation as Washington State Delegates to the American Chiropractic Association.

A great way to kick off #NationalChiropracticHealthMonth and highlight the continued #JointEfforts happening across the country to advance the profession and the patients we serve. 🇺🇸

Thrilled to be back from this year’s SACA Leadership Conference, where SACA and SABCA came together for the first time for a joint leadership conference in California.

It was a packed few days of learning, collaboration, and conversations about where our profession is headed. The speakers were incredible, and I was grateful for the opportunity to speak a few times throughout the weekend. One of my favorite moments was sitting on the leadership panel and getting to share some of the lessons I’ve learned through my own time in SACA and now in the profession.

I also came home with a few new books to add to the reading list, plenty of ideas, and an even greater appreciation for the people who continue to pour into our students.

But what impressed me most was our student leaders. Watching them ask thoughtful questions, challenge ideas, build relationships, advocate for the profession, and genuinely step into leadership is a reminder of why opportunities like this matter.

The future of chiropractic isn’t something we’re waiting for, it’s already being shaped by the students willing to show up and lead it.

Proud of this group and excited to see where they take us next. 🫡 by @drjd_pnw

One thing I’ve learned through both policy and healthcare is that if providers aren’t at the table, someone else will be.

Honored to have been selected to present at APHA 2026, the American Public Health Association’s premier annual conference bringing together public health leaders, researchers, educators, and clinicians from across the country.

I’ll be presenting on policy literacy in health professions education and how we can better prepare future providers to engage in musculoskeletal health policy.

As chiropractors, we often talk about being portal-of-entry providers and leaders in musculoskeletal healthcare. To truly fill that role, we need more than clinical knowledge. We need to understand the policies, systems, and legislation that shape patient access, reimbursement, and the future of our profession. I’m excited to contribute to that conversation on a national stage. by @drjd_pnw

Got to run into THEE Dr. Betsy Mitchell at a local community event while I was out doing chiropractic screenings this weekend!

She was one of my professors at UWS and, in my opinion, one of the best. The kind of teacher who made things click and set a strong example for how to show up and treat patients. A lot of how I communicate, explain care, and interact with patients today traces back to her influence.

She’s still teaching and now also running West Coast Chocolates. Really cool to see that in person. Good reminder that you don’t have to stick to just one lane.

Grateful for the impact she had on me and great to see her doing well! by @drjd_pnw

Behind every new doctor is someone who helped show the path.

Grateful for mentors like Dr. Lisa Goodman who continue to invest in the next generation of chiropractors. From building the Fox Tracks community to writing The Manual for Chiropractic Entrepreneurs, her work has helped so many of us think bigger about what practice and leadership can look like.

The note meant a lot, Dr. G. Thank you for the encouragement and for creating spaces where students and young docs can grow.

Proud to be part of the Practice Fox community and excited for what’s ahead. 🦊

Out at the Pacific Northwest Sportsman Show today representing our clinics and the Northwest Chiropractic Coalition.

Had a lot of great conversations about what chiropractic actually is and, more importantly, what it isn’t. We talked injury prevention, recovery, mobility, and how keeping the nervous system moving well keeps people doing the things they enjoy. Whether that’s hunting, fishing, lifting, or just getting through a workday without pain.

Always appreciate the chance to meet people outside the clinic and answer real questions face to face. Education is half the job.

If you stopped by the booth, good meeting you. If you missed it, my DMs are always open. by @drjd_pnw

ACA Engage 2026 ☑️

Wrapping up my term as the ACA Student National Executive Board Chair feels full circle. I’ve been involved with the ACA at every season of my education. From student, to clinical intern, to now officially Dr. Greening. I love this profession and believe deeply in advocating for it, and that commitment doesn’t change as I move from student to provider.

Grateful for a team that showed up, did the work, and pushed each other to be better. I was fortunate to lead — and just as fortunate to be led by people who made this experience what it was.

Also so honored to close out this chapter with a scholarship from Standard Process as I continue working toward becoming the best doctor I can be for my patients. (updates there soon!)

The best part of this trip was sharing it with my beautiful fiancee- someone who has seen the long days, the late nights and has been so supportive. Getting to experience this together this year has made it the best Engage trip yet.

Grateful for the people, the purpose, and what’s ahead. Onward. by @drjd_pnw

Life update.

One thing the military taught me early on: it ain’t real until you get it in writing.

This one took years, a lot of showing up when it would’ve been easier not to, and more patience than I ever expected.

Grateful for the people who had my back, the lessons along the way, and the path that led me here…even when it wasn’t clear at the time.

This chapter is official. On to the next.

Proud to represent chiropractic within the BJJ community.

Having a deep understanding of biomechanics and how different positions load the joints, bones, and connective tissues can sometimes feel like a cheat code on the mat. Off it though, it gives me a clear picture of where stress is accumulating and why certain movements or positions lead to pain or injury.

That insight allows me to bring more than just relief. It lets me educate athletes on what’s happening in their bodies and how to manage those stresses in a way that carries with them both on and off the mat.

Grateful to work with a community that trains hard, pushes limits, and trusts me with their care. 🥋 by @drjd_pnw

Grateful feels like an understatement.

Over the last 90 days, The Adjusted Perspective reached 17,390 accounts, with 77% coming from non-followers. That tells me the conversations happening here are reaching well beyond our immediate circle, and that matters.

Thank you to everyone who has read, shared, commented, and trusted this space. None of this works without you.

As we head into the new year, expect more long-form articles, more posts, and a wider range of ideas. Not just from me, but from new voices joining the platform and some great returning writers as well.

2026 will bring a lot of change. That is exactly why we are here.
To ask better questions.
To think critically.
And to help adjust your perspective.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🤍
See you in 2026.
