POSTS STORIES REELS

Two milestones I’m incredibly grateful to achieve this year: Diamond Invisalign Provider and Fellow of the American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA).

While these recognitions are meaningful, what matters most is what they mean for my patients. This is the real reason why I push so hard to get better, how do we provide better service for our patients?

Diamond status reflects extensive experience treating Invisalign cases—from simple alignment to complex bite correction and interdisciplinary treatment. AACA Fellowship is earned through advanced education and rigorous peer review of real clinical cases, ensuring that treatment decisions are backed by evidence, thoughtful planning, and continuous learning.

For our patients, that means:
• More predictable treatment outcomes
• Better bite function—not just straighter teeth
• Personalized treatment plans designed around long-term oral health and function
• Access to the latest digital technology and techniques
• A commitment to lifelong education so you receive the highest standard of care from me and my team

Thank you to every patient who has trusted us with your smile and your health. Your confidence in our team is what makes achievements like these possible. We’re excited to continue raising the standard of care and helping more people smile with confidence.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to book your consultation and see how my team and I can be of service. by @drmikejin

This month marks 5 years since I founded Jin Dental Aesthetics in Pasadena, the area where I grew up. It’s been nearly a decade since I graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry, and I’m proud of the journey so far. As I reflect, I realize I’ve never properly introduced myself on here—probably because talking about myself doesn’t come easy. But it’s time to face my fears and share a bit of my story.

For those who don’t know me, I’m Dr. Mike Jin, a general dentist with a focus on complex cosmetic dentistry, serving the Pasadena and Los Angeles communities.

I was born in Inner Mongolia, China, and moved to LA with my parents at 9. After attending UC Irvine, I earned my DDS from UCLA School of Dentistry.

It’s been a crazy and surreal ride and I have to say that I am incredibly proud of the achievements that’s been made.

1️⃣ Graduated from @koiscenter — intensive multi-week training course that completely transformed me as a dentist. I had the privilege to learn from some of the best clinicians in the world and joined a community of doctors who passionately pursue a life time of excellence.

2️⃣ Complete redesign of our hygiene department with the integration of Guided Biofilm Therapy (@emsdental_northamerica), focusing on prevention, wellness, and diet/nutrition.

3️⃣ Integrated advanced 3D imaging and 3D printing technologies to improve treatment outcomes for complex cases and became one of the leading practices in the area utilizing the new cutting edge tech.

4️⃣ Achieved Platinum-level @invisalign provider, an achievement very few non-orthodontic practices have.

5️⃣ Continued pursuit of intensive cosmetic dentistry training with top clinicians worldwide and fortunate enough to call some of them my mentors.

I am so proud of these accomplishments and am even more excited for what the next 5 years will bring. Stay tuned for announcements of the next upgraded phase of Jin Dental Aesthetics!

🥂 Cheers to the next phase!

📸 Thanks to @nykallen for the amazing photos!

Delivered 3D printed veneer in less than an hour.

Wellness Beyond Dentistry: Event #3
Guided Meditation and Stretching

This all started with a crazy idea of mine…

What if your doctor was right next to you on your journey to stay healthy?

What if a dental office could be more than a place you come to take care of your teeth? What if we could create a community that encourages each other to eat better, move more, stay healthy, and keep becoming better versions of ourselves?

And thanks to my amazing team and supportive patients, this crazy idea became a reality.

This was our 3rd wellness event!! And this one was extra special because it was led by one of our very own patients! We all got to meditate and stretch and just get away from all the things that life constantly throws at us, even if it’s just for a moment..

Seeing our patients, friends, families, and team sweating together, laughing together, and supporting one another is honestly one of the most special moments as a healthcare provider.

And the best part? We get to support local businesses and strengthen our community at the same time!! ❤️

As always, these events are completely free for all of our existing patients and their guests! We will continue to host these events in the future!

Dentistry may have brought us together, but health and community go far beyond dentistry.

I already can’t wait for the next one.

Come join us — and bring your family and friends! Let’s keep growing this incredible dental family and getting healthier together. 💪

10 months of Invisalign
Conservative, purely additive cosmetic bonding
Powerful results ✨

Sometimes damaged teeth may be a symptom of a hidden functional problem. By correcting the bite first, we were able to preserve healthy tooth structure while creating a smile that’s not only beautiful, but more functional, better longevity.

The best cosmetic dentistry doesn’t just improve smiles. It improves the overall system by @drmikejin

There are cases that remind me why I chose this profession. This is definitely one of them.

Beautiful smiles are rarely the result of one procedure—they’re the result of thoughtful planning, teamwork, and respecting the biology every step of the way.

This journey began with 15 months of Invisalign to correct severe crowding and improve the position of the front teeth. Then, Dr. Weightman’s exceptional surgical expertise with upper arch bone contouring and crown lengthening created the ideal foundation.

Because that foundational work was done so meticulously, I was able to prepare less than 1 mm of enamel before placing these beautiful veneers. Preserving healthy tooth structure is always the goal, and this case is a perfect example of what’s possible when every specialty works together.

I’m incredibly proud of this result—not just because of how beautiful the smile looks, but because of how conservatively and intentionally we achieved it.

This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite cases I’ve ever had the privilege to be part of.

Thank you to my patient for trusting us with your smile, and to Dr. Weightman at @foundationdentalspecialists for your incredible collaboration and @utahvalleydentallab for these beautiful veneers.

He almost quit after his first week.

Filing paper charts in a dark room, no people, no purpose. So he walked up to his boss and said: "This isn't for me. " His boss said: "Just give me one more month."

One day, a 90-year-old patient pulled him aside and said — "This is all four generations of my family. Your doctor was there for my daughter's wedding. My granddaughter's birthday. And now he's seeing my great-granddaughter."

Today, he runs one of the most productive dental practices in LA — built from scratch, opened right before a pandemic, and grown by one simple belief:
People remember how you made them feel. Not just what you did to their teeth.

Most employees aren’t underperforming because they don’t care. They’re underperforming because expectations are vague.

In video games, you know exactly what’s required to level up. There’s structure, feedback, progression, and accountability.

The same applies to business.

@drmikejin talks about creating measurable expectations for every role in the office so team members understand what success actually looks like — not emotionally, but objectively.

And the data backs it up. @gallup found that highly engaged teams see 14% higher productivity and 23% higher profitability.

So it’s not a surprise that clear expectations create confidence and clear systems create growth but also measurable progress creates motivated teams. by @drmikejin

One of the biggest mindset shifts in leadership is realizing that investing in people isn’t always transactional.

Not every investment in your team will come back to you dollar for dollar — and that doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth making.

In this conversation, @drmikejin talks about the importance of investing in human potential without trying to control the outcome. Sometimes you mentor someone, help them grow, build their confidence, and one day they leave your practice for a bigger opportunity.

And honestly? That should be something to be proud of.

Too many leaders hold back growth because they’re afraid people will leave. They avoid teaching too much, empowering too much, or building too strong of a team because they’re operating from scarcity instead of abundance BUT great leadership isn’t about keeping people small so they stay. It’s about helping people become better because they crossed paths with you.

Repost this if you believe great leadership is measured by the people you help grow 📈 by @drmikejin
