DST1 : Ankara Türkiye

The history of Ankara goes back to the Bronze Age, around 3000 BC, when the Hattians, an ancient Anatolian people, settled in the region. Later, the area came under the influence of the Hittites, one of the major ancient civilizations of Anatolia, around the 2nd millennium BC.

As the capital of Turkey, Ankara saw significant development and expansion in the 20th century. It became the political, administrative, and cultural hub of the country, hosting government buildings, foreign embassies, universities, museums, and other institutions.

Today, Ankara remains a vibrant city with a mix of historical landmarks and modern infrastructure, reflecting its rich heritage and status as Turkey’s capital.
