🎥 MIC’D UP IN THE TREATMENT ROOM - PART 2

In Part 2, you’re getting a closer look at how I actually approach treatment in real time.

This part of the session is all about assessing what’s really driving the tension, restriction, and overload, not just treating the spot that hurts.

When I’m working through a case like this, I’m paying attention to:
🔹 How the joints are moving
🔹 Where the tissue feels restricted
🔹 What areas are overworking to compensate
🔹 How the body is distributing load through the upper extremity

A lot of people think treatment is just about “fixing pain” in one area, but in reality, good care is often about improving how the whole region moves together.

In this clip, I’m using hands-on treatment to:
✔️ Improve mobility
✔️ Reduce built-up tension
✔️ Restore better movement through the arm/shoulder complex
✔️ Help offload structures that have been taking too much stress over time

This is the part people don’t always see… the clinical reasoning behind why we treat certain areas, and how each piece connects to the bigger picture.

🎥 MIC’D UP IN THE TREATMENT ROOM - PART 1

Welcome to part 1 of a new 3-part series where I’m bringing you inside the treatment room for a real look at what goes into patient care at Sahara Health. 👏

This patient is a bricklayer with 20+ years in the trade, and like many people in physically demanding jobs, the wear and tear adds up over time.

He came in dealing with:
▪️ Bilateral lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow)
▪️ Anterior chest pain
▪️ A general feeling that his body is starting to slow down from years of hard labour

Lateral epicondylitis is more than just “elbow pain” - it’s often a repetitive strain condition involving overload of the forearm tendons, especially from constant gripping, lifting, twisting, and forceful use of the wrist and hands. For someone in the trades, that adds up fast!

When your body is your livelihood, pain doesn’t just affect comfort, it affects how you work, move, and show up every day.

In this session, we’re looking beyond just the painful areas and addressing the bigger picture:
✔️ Joint restrictions
✔️ Muscle overload patterns
✔️ Repetitive strain from work demands
✔️ Movement limitations built up over years on the job

This is what treatment really looks like - not just chasing symptoms, but helping people keep doing what they do for as long as possible. 💪

Stay tuned for Part 2 & 3 of the series.
