POSTS STORIES REELS

I started Conscientia Health with $1,200 and a broken heart. After losing my mother in 2013, I couldn’t unsee how many high-functioning people were silently falling apart while looking “fine” on the outside. And then in 2018, when I thought grief couldn’t get any worse, I lost my brother Malcolm at the young age of 37.

So I built what I wished existed! @conscientiahealth

From a shared office space in NYC…
to serving patients across all 50 states and 16 countries…
to 73 + physical locations…
to being recognized by Forbes.

But the numbers were never the point.

The point was creating a place where mental healthcare feels like primary care - routine, accessible, and free of stigma. A place where the “strong ones” can finally put the weight down.

If you’re building something meaningful while carrying invisible things…this page is for you.

Follow along for the real side of leadership, motherhood, high functioning every day life, a little bit of fashion and most importantly mental health. ❤️💙

Love,

My USA team somehow convinced me to be the model on the US billboards like we have done in Nigeria. It took me a while to agree but watching my daughter’s reaction the very first time she saw the billboard makes ALL of it worth it.
The sweat, tears. The sleep nights. The losses. The gains.
And now…the LEGACY. ❤️

For my daughter and all young girls who may be watching, from afar or from close, from the Americas, from Asia or from Africa. Dream big!
I want every girl to know she can achieve anything!
Anything at all you set your mind to.
You are unstoppable.
Put the work in, for there are no short cuts to success. Build a legacy of strength compassion and hope. Inspire future generations
This is for you my daughter, my love.
I hope you always chase your dreams with passion and determination.
Remember, the sky is the limit!
Each step you take brings you closer to your goals. Let this billboard be a reminder to you that dreams can become reality. You have the power to shape your own future, so keep reaching for the stars.
Do it afraid, but do it anyway.
As for me, I’m chasing my dreams and more…
One billboard at a time.

We just launched 23 billboards across New York, New Jersey, Texas and Florida Y’all!!!
This is wild!!!

If you’re inspired, please follow @conscientiahealth and be part of our growing community. ❤️

The strongest people I know are often the loneliest.
They’re the ones everyone leans on.
The ones who show up.
The ones who keep performing strength even when they’re running on empty.
I’ve sat across from CEOs, physicians, parents, and “high achievers” who look successful on paper… and are quietly drowning in work burn out and inadvertently in isolation.
I’ve been that person too.
High-functioning doesn’t mean healthy.
It often just means you’re really good at hiding the cost.
If you’ve ever felt like you have to keep it all together because “people need you,” this is your permission slip:
You can be strong and soft.
Capable and tired.
Successful and still need support.
You don’t have to earn rest.
You don’t have to earn care.
Tag someone who needs this reminder today.
Or save it for the days you forget.
Leaders must check-in. One minute check-in challenge.
Check in with yourself. Check in with your teammates.
Check in with your partner. It’s worth the effort.

Here’s my latest thought leadership for Forbes Business Council and share it with that person who can use it. @forbes @forbes_councils 💕

Complete this one minute check-in challenge today.
I hope it helps.

Love,
DrSim ❤️

We need a better plan for bullying, suspension doesn’t work anymore. What you as a parent or guardian should do when your child reports being bullied. Listen till the endand send it to other parents. We need to start demanding action before calamity‼️

15-year-old boy Javits Frimpong was shot and killed Thursday morning on his way to school in the Bronx. He had been in New York about a year. He came from Ghana to live with his father. He was walking to school when he was shot near Crotona Park. He died at the hospital.

His father says the principal called him just days earlier to report that two students had been suspended for bullying Javits. Javits had already told his father the harassment happened especially at lunch, and that he had reported it more than once. School staff described him as quiet, consistent, and not the aggressor. Suspects arrested and some things are yet to be confirmed.

What does not require confirmation is this: a child reported being targeted, adults suspended the other students, and days later that child was chased and shot on the street.

Bullying that reaches this point is a failure of early intervention‼️

Suspension alone does not protect the next child. It does not address what is driving the aggression. And it does not guarantee the victim is safe outside the building. We can hold both truths at once.

As we demand a full investigation and justice for Javits, we also demand that every school that receives a bullying report treat it as an active safety matter: Counseling, Monitoring, Parent notification, and a REAL PLAN for the walk to and from school.

My condolences to Thomas Frimpong and the family. A father brought his son across an ocean for a better chance. He should not be planning a funeral instead of a graduation.

This is preventable when adults listen the first time and act like the next report could be the last one. Early Intervention! 🗣️

And while we’re at it, parents teach your children kindness, Please‼️

Dr. on the Red carpet. My patients would say I’m still working, they’d be right. Red carpet was set to open at 5pm. I arrived at exactly 5pm and the carpet was empty.

I had just flown in from 2 different countries, lay over in Miami for 6 hours to visit my son in college and flew into LA.

5 pm PST it was. I was operating on 5 pm EST. 🥹. Two things can be true at the same time. Tired and functioning.

Newborn at home. Three more waiting. And me, at the Emmys, in a gown, wondering who exactly signed off on this.

On the flip side, I had the entire red/blue carpet at the 2026 Emmys to myself and it was splendid! That’s the story I’m telling my grandkids. 🥰

So many amazing people, so many conversations. So many high achievers, so many struggles. So many memories, all in one beautiful night.

Thank you to the academy for having me. ❤️

I could not stand in the room today but my heart was there. This morning @redbankcatholic opened the RISE Wellness Room. It was blessed. The ribbon was cut. A quiet place on campus is now open for students who need to sit down before, during or after the day becomes too heavy.

I am a Casey mom. Months ago, I received an email about a suicide that touched this community. There are two ways to answer an email like that. You can grieve, and return to your day. Or you can grieve and then build something.

We chose to build.

RISE means Reclaim Inner Strength. Evolve.
Psychiatry when it is needed. Therapy for the talks teenagers actually have. Primary care so body and mind are not separate files.
Rapid access. Confidential. On campus.

We also provided 100% of the funding for an approved Mental Health Curriculum school-wide. Integrated into the academic coursework, it teaches students to recognize early warning signs, name their emotions, seek help when they need it, and support their classmates.

To every Casey who will walk through that door: you are not broken for needing it. Walk-ins are welcome. Your information is private.

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. This room is our answer. Thank you, Red Bank Catholic, for treating student well-being as part of the mission — not an afterthought. Go Caseys.

God bless this school, these students, and everyone who will use that room.
Love,
#DrSim ❤️

Women, How are you managing? - What the Lindsay Clancy Story is really teaching us. Watch till end.

If you have ever cried in the bathroom with the fan on so nobody would hear you; this is for you.

If you have checked the baby at two a.m. and then lay awake until four, heart pounding over a fever that wasn’t there; this is for you.

If you went back to work at six weeks with milk still coming in, left a newborn with someone else, and smiled in the meeting while your chest ached; this is for you. 💔

If you snapped at the person you love most and then hated yourself for it.

If you googled symptoms at 1 a.m.

If you have two under three and people keep saying your grandmother did it.

If you love your children more than your own breath and still, some nights, wonder if you are enough. This is for you.

I know that woman. I am that woman.

I have 4 children. There is no stage where the need ends. It only changes shape.

My nineteen-year-old looked me in the eye on the way back to college and said, “No, Mom. Please. I need you.” So I went. And even inside those two beautiful days I was running a company, being a wife, caring for a newborn, checking on a five-year-old, a 16-year-old who has summer plans and planning two birthday parties in August for two of my four children. I was juggling. I’m constantly juggling.
Don’t get me wrong, we love this.
We absolutely love taking care of our children. And also, it is breaking some of us. Both of those things are true at the same time. It’s time we acknowledge that more. Strength, struggle and survival can co-exist.

Love is not the question. It almost never is. Capacity is. Six weeks maternity leave is not recovery. “I’m fine” is not a plan.

“Our mothers and grandmothers did it” some tell us but did they thrive or were they merely surviving? Thriving is the standard we set for ourselves.

So say it this week. Out loud. To one person who loves you. “I’m NOT fine.
I’m not managing. I need help”.

That sentence is not the end of your strength. It is the first honest thing your daughters will ever hear you say — and it is the exact moment the chain breaks!!

“50% of mental illness risk is genetic. The other half is environment.” — Dr. Simbiat Adighije @drsim7 reveals during her sit down with @angelasimmons.

SHOCKING. 😳

We use 50/50 because it’s the clearest way to say it in a room with a patient. The real number shifts by condition: higher for bipolar and schizophrenia, lower for depression and anxiety. But the point holds: some of what you’re feeling was passed down before you ever had words for it. A parent, a grandparent, further back.

Genes are a risk, not a verdict. The other 50% is where the work happens.

About 2 weeks ago, I saw roughly 20 patients in one day and one theme was common in everyday living. LONELINESS.

Believe it or not, the no. 1 thing almost everyone is feeling right now regardless of race, gender, relationship status (whether married, single or somewhere in-between - let’s save feeling lonely in a relationship for another video), is loneliness. Now let’s talk about it.

Loneliness isn’t just ‘being alone’. It’s feeling disconnected even when you’re around people; in rooms full of colleagues, at family dinners, or in a committed relationship. That quiet signal your brain sends when something vital is missing.

It hits leaders, high performers, entrepreneurs especially hard. You deliver results, carry the weight, yet still feel isolated at the top.

Scientifically, it’s brutal. The U.S. Surgeon General compared it to smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day; raising heart disease risk by 29%, stroke by 32%, dementia by 50%, plus depression, anxiety, and early death. Yes, even early death.
Your body treats it like a survival threat.

The good news? You can fight it with these three practical moves:

1. Reach out. A simple text works “Been thinking about you, want to grab coffee or just talk?” Small consistent steps build connection faster than waiting to feel ready.

2. Practice self-connection. Sit with yourself for a few minutes a day; take a walk, journal, breathe, drink water. You can’t connect with people if you’re feeling disconnected from yourself. Please read that again.

3. Do small acts of kindness. Hold the door for a stranger, say please and thank you with intention, smile at someone, or send a quick encouraging note. These tiny human links remind you we’re all in this together.

it’s #July4th weekend. Try connecting with people around you as you observe America’s 250th birthday. 🇺🇸

Attending a pool party or backyard party?
Ask one person how they’re REALLY doing, see that you’re not alone. ❤️

Even one move can shift the loneliness dial.
You’ve got this!

What’s your go-to move against loneliness?
For me, it’s music, writing & acts of kindness.
Watch this till the end.

Love,
