Best of luck to this kid, and all the traveling and local skaters trying out for @the_jrda Team USA in Philly today! Skate hard, have fun, and show the world what ya got! by @drucifer8mm

Tired of never ending playoff delusion and disappointment in Philly? Looking at your team’s salary cap and the math just ain’t mathing? Thousands of dollars on tickets, parking, lost productivity, and $18 hotdogs? The endless and costly TV sports package fees? Team spirit at an all time low? Feeling the home team pride ick? You may be suffering from PPDS (Philly Phan Derangement Syndrome).
Introducing @phillyrollerderbyjuniors , the only clinically proven cure for PPDS. 1 bout of Philly Roller Derby Juniors and 100% of patients are cured, and noticed significant increases in happiness, Philly Pride, and wealth. The only know side effects are: free tournaments (in person and live streamed), Wawa next to the arena, free parking, more medals than any Philly pro team, free kazoo orchestra, And knowing that win or lose, this is the best team in Philly.

We’re back, baby! 2027 season practices are a go. L3 first practice scrimmage with @phillyrollerderbyjuniors. Always fun to get the band back together and see the vets and new level ups get together. The present and future look bright! #wearephilly #phillyrollerderbyjuniors by @drucifer8mm

5 years ago, Livid met @phillyrollerderbyjuniors for the first time at their first open house post Covid shutdown. Since then shes grown from an L1 to an All Star. She’s competed with her besties, grown as a skater and human, met new derby friends from across the country, laughed, cried, and somehow managed to get up at 5am with a smile most Sundays for practice. The whole time, the entire PRDJ program (coaches, parents, skaters) has helped challenge her be her best self and teach her that’s she’s stronger than she knows.
For me, I’ve gotten to know and photograph so many great kids, fun parents, and witnessed how coaches and a program should be. It’s been equally exhausting and exhilarating.
Too many people to tag, but it’s been a great 5 years here with PRDJ. 3 more to go! #wearephilly #phillyrollerderbyjuniors #fiveyears by @drucifer8mm
