coming to the edge
and here I pledge
my fidelity
into open sea
I plunge
at your command
I lunge
with sword in hand
your word your plan
for me
from valley deep
to mountain peak
I know you’ll speak
I see
your hand in everything
your love is why I sing
to honor you and bring
others to your throne
my praise to you alone
my king

52 years with this amazing woman!! My love and my best friend. Thanks for loving me the way you do and your love for Jesus is an inspiration to me! I promise to love you for as many years the Lord gives me and into eternity!! As I’ve said before, Jesus is the glue that holds us together. July 27, 1974 by @drummingfool312

stand still
and see
the One
the Son
wounded
bruised
crushed
because
we
couldn’t see
our way
the dark day
was darker still
not My will
but Thine be done
death blotted out
the sun
and thought it won
but He said
I lay it down
for those
who are bound
by sins chains
by hidden shame
His dying claim
it is finished
and it was
and it is
oh the bliss
of forgiveness
for those who believe
His children receive
resurrection
because He was raised
the passion slayed
every claim the devil
had on us
so believe we must
ln our risen Lord.

The life, death and resurrection of the historical Jesus is settled. God affirmed Jesus as His Son by many things in the scriptures. Through promise, through prophecy, through placement in time. (When the fullness of time had come, God sent His Son) and finally by resurrection! He has conquered sin and death …. For you! But like any gift you receive, it won’t fulfill the purpose of the giving unless you open it and use it. The purpose is personal relationship with God and it’s yours for free. This Resurrection Day step into new life with God through Jesus who made it all possible. Receive His free gift of salvation. Turn from your sin (Repent) believe He died the death we should have died and accept His offer to save you today ….. it will be the best thing you will ever do!

Blessings to you on this Joyous day of hope I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the fact that more than 2000 years ago, a baby came sent by the Father born of a virgin, laid in a manger in a stable. What meager beginnings for the King of the Universe. The Babe in the manger grew up and lived a sinless life died on a cross but rose again from the dead to allow us to have everlasting life. This is the gift of Christmas. That God was willing to send His Son to be the Savior of the World, but like every gift it needs to be opened in order to enjoy it’s benefits. We must receive this gift into our hearts. I think this poem says it best when we see the paradox of God.

The maker of the universe, as man for man was made a curse:
The claims of laws which He had made, unto the uttermost He paid.
His holy fingers made the bough which grew the thorns that crowned His brow:
The nails that pierced His feet were mined in secret places He designed.
He made the forests where there sprung, the tree on which His body hung:
He died upon a cross of wood yet made the hill on which it stood.
The sky that darkened o’er His head, by Him above the earth was spread:
The sun that hid from Him his face, by His decree was poised in space.
The spear revealing precious blood was tempered in the fires of God:
The grave in which His form was laid, was hewn in rock which He had made.
The throne on which He now appears was His from everlasting years:
But a new glory crowns His brow, and every knee to Him must bow.

This is the true meaning of Christmas… That God would love us to the uttermost and would go to impossible lengths to buy us back from sins destruction.
Remember the Child but don’t forget the Man Christ Jesus “who for the joy set before Him, endured the cross despising the shame and has set down on the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2”

The Joy was the reconciliation between God and man. Be reconciled to God! by @drummingfool312

when he speaks
even the leaves obey
his brush across the
rushing wind
every color he blends
like the fire in our soul sends
us to our knees in praise
every branch will raise
a hallelujah
and we see it
there it is
that’s the bliss
the thing we miss
we look with eye
at what we spy
and not with heart
when will we start
to hear
his message clear
I love you
and heaven waits for us
and heaven waits for us
and heaven waits for us
to reply

flow river
and all my dreams
I know it seems
relentless
never ending
pounding
sounding
like thunder
I wonder
why the dam
has broken
Is it just a token
to what will come
I know I could run
but how fast
could I outlast
the current
the condition
could that be my mission
in life
or should I stand
with armor on
face the dawn
with sword and shield
my heart healed
by chapter and verse
you are my source
my life

The event that forever changed the course of His-story! The resurrection of Jesus Christ (Messiah) is the pivotal event in human history. The prophets foretold it, Jesus proclaimed it, The Holy Spirit performed it….If that same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you!! What a Savior!! What a Lord, what a loving God!! Who would die for us that we might live, not only live but have abundant life? Jesus!! For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross despising the shame of it! What was the joy set before Him? You, and me! A restored relationship. No longer separated by sin! This free gift God offers everyone! Turn from your sin and accept His gift of salvation through the substitutionary death of His Son, Jesus as Peter says There is no other name given among men by which we must be saved! Don’t waste your life. Receive a new life today! #bestnatureshots

frozen in time
but he is not
he’s outside of it
waiting for us
for that final
the multi tonal
consummation
the end of
expectation
and every star
shinning
alining
with his will
oh he loves us still
can’t you see
it’s all about
the tree
cursed
and vaunted
he undaunted
bore our sin
and shame
did he say my name
as he suffered
my god my god
why hast thou?
I know it now
it was for me
all I need is but
believe it
turn from my sin
to receive it
take up mine
and follow
no time to
wallow
he’s coming soon!

the road to redemption
started in a feeding trough
and ended in an empty tomb
riding in the womb
of a virgin
was the answer for sin
come away from the din
and hear His love song
in quiet tones sung
while the world slept
in spiritual slumber
what do you remember
of loss and brokenness
much I must confess
but what of His
leaving heavens bliss
to be betrayed by a kiss
beaten beyond recognition
mocked and humiliation
thinking of us
he went to the cross
despising its shame
but for joy remained
till death was swallowed
in victory
His name you see
means Savior

design points
between
marrow and joints
but still you won’t
the paintings, painter
draws near
to hear
two small words
and if you haven’t heard
it’s simple
It’s profound
it’s all around
the message
of defeat
but victory
and it seems to me
the paradox
of time
played out
in this rhyme
is life for those
who will choose
to follow.
you see there’s
beauty in death
but not to wallow
can I die to self
and reflect His life
that’s the call
of His word
and with that
I’m assured
eternity
“I believe”
