To have a portrait taken by @eddegab.photo ✅ Over the past year, Ed and I had the chance to spend a lot of time together while working. I’ve always admired his work and how organised he is with everything from the ideation of a shoot to delivering the final result. When @insynkcollective told us he was going to take the portraits for the team, I was sooo happy because I was finally going to have my picture taken by him! So glad that before moving, I got the chance to be photographed by someone whose work I admire so much. Thanks, Ed!! by @dubalejo
Who are we when we move? “POEMS” by @carolinecorbasson at @cwb_paris discovered on @cur8.fr Art journal. 18.12.2025 I love the way Caroline plays with mediums: painting, poetry, film. Everything together, but at the same time each with its own strength. Maybe it’s because I saw this exhibition just after I moved to Paris, but this mix of mediums that work individually, yet make the piece as a whole, made me wonder a lot about what we become when we move. We are individuals and we work as individuals, but we are nothing more than a mix of everything that surrounds us. We are an interpretation of our interpretation of the world, of our context, of where we live, of the people around us, the ones we love, the ones we share our life with, the exchanges of energy we have. I love how things are hidden in her works. Some things are behind the frames, others in the painting itself. You have to go closer, further, move around it. It’s like a dance you have with the art. For me, she represents this dance in the color grading, but also in how you experience the exhibition. Again, this is a personal analogy of what moving does to one’s life. The same way that the details we discover in the frames change the interpretation of the whole piece, moving changes the perception you have of yourself with the details that present day by day. by @dubalejo
Catching sunset around the world: 📍World Trade Center, New York. The blue hour. I wrote this while I was watching one of the most beautiful sunsets in a city I’ve ever seen. Wanted to share it with you guys! by @dubalejo
Reading my journal. Chapter 1: the cloud ⛅️ One of the reasons I moved to Paris was because I wanted to connect more with my inner artist. Since then, I’ve been going alone to art exhibitions to understand what the artists are trying to express and to see what it makes me feel. That has helped me connect with my sensitivity and the way I see life, to ask questions with different meanings, and now I want to start sharing that with you. These are writings I create when I go to art exhibitions, my creativity triggered by the creativity of another person. by @dubalejo
Espero les guste ❤️‍🔥 by @dubalejo
Living your dream can also feel overwhelming. It can be stressful and make you feel not that great and it’s important to talk about it and show that it’s all just part of the process. It doesn’t mean you’re not in the right place, doing the right thing, or living what you’re meant to live. It’s just ALL part of the process! XOXO, DUBALEJO (in Paris) ❤️‍🔥 by @dubalejo
Dear Malta, After 3 and a half years, it’s time to part ways. This one’s for you. To everyone who made these years something worth remembering, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️‍🔥 XOXO, DUBALEJO by @dubalejo
To Insynk Spaces. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! All the talent, creative minds, and amazing artists I met this year through @insynkspaces inspired me to keep growing, dreaming, and moving toward making my dreams happen. Helping you find your creativity helped me find mine and that’s something I will always keep with me. Thanks ❤️‍🔥 XOXO DUBALEJO ✌🏽 by @dubalejo
I want to, but… (insert any fear here) During the last year, I’ve realised that many talented people want to share their work but don’t do it because of fears and the overwhelming content on the internet. Next Monday (3rd November), I’ll be giving a talk at Insynk Spaces for anyone who wants to show what they do but doesn’t know how. See you at @insynkspaces at 7 pm 🙂‍↕️❤️‍🔥 by @dubalejo
If we can all be creative, do we actually create? Inspired by two of my favourite books — The Creative Act and Steal Like an Artist. Here’s What I Think 👀 by @dubalejo
If something I learned from my cycling trip is that in 2025 disconnection isn’t somewhere you go. It’s something you choose. XOXO DUBALEJO 💋 by @dubalejo
