POSTS STORIES REELS
It's November which means it's time to update you on where you can find Duck Egg IRL! . Lots of markets booked including the @ely_cathedral Christmas Market where you can find me alongside @crafts.by.kate_ and @fauxflorabylaura in the free marquee area πŸ–€πŸŒ² . It's sadly my last @holtmarket this month too as I couldn't get the dates to work for my calender next year πŸ₯€ . I'm looking forward to being back @pensthorpeuk next to Kate again (and the fabulous @jakes.kitchen11 too - that's breakfast sorted!) . Pop by and say hi if you're in the area it would be lovely to see you (and you might even get some Christmas shopping done πŸ‘€) . P.S. I'm only going to be in Ely twice in December for your last minute shopping needs...... . #DuckEggDesigns #ShopSmall #MarketDates #AlternativeArt #AlternativeFashion by @duckeggdesignss
Not feeling social media this week - please check out my art? πŸ‘€πŸ–€ . Busy prepping for markets this month and trying to bulk make some coasters (and stickers if my printer starts behaving) o.O wish me luck! . #DuckEggDesigns #AlternativeArt #AlternativeHome #AltStyle by @duckeggdesignss
Thank you Sheffield and thank you @steelcityalternative for having me! . I had a fabulous day meeting lots of new people and traders - it was definitely worth the drive, hopefully see you again next year πŸ–€πŸ‘» . More stock prep to do this week for the rest of the month (and a re-sort of my market boxes) . Back to my normal spot @elymarkets on Saturday and with @suffolk_market_events in Bury St Edmunds for the Farmers Market on Sunday! . More placemat blanks on the way after Mum and Becca sold 5(!) yesterday 🌿 . #DuckEggDesigns #AlternativeArt #SpookyBitch #AlternativeMarket by @duckeggdesignss
Happy Halloween, hope you enjoy the spookiest day of the year πŸ–€πŸ‘» . Catch Mum and Becca @elymarkets today with a reduced stock while I'm in Sheffield for the @steelcityalternative - it's my very first time in Sheffield, pop by and say hi! 🌿 . Have fun dressing up, trick or treating, pumpkin carving and probably eating too many sweets πŸ‘€ . #DuckEggDesigns #HappyHalloween #SpookyAllYear #GhostArt by @duckeggdesignss
Things I think you should ghost this October, November and whenever πŸ–€ . AI art is a f*cking plague, if I never see an AI poster again it will be too soon. I'd rather see a handwritten sign than an AI one and will avoid any places and organisations that use them. . Enjoying the start to cosy season and bringing out my jumpers again (finally). I give it two weeks max before I complain about the cold at markets though πŸ˜‚ . #DuckEggDesigns #GhostYourEx #SpookySeason #AlternativeFashion #AltGirl by @duckeggdesignss
I've been busy the last couple of weeks printing a small batch of these (as well as stocking up my coaster collection) πŸ–€ . Hope you guys like them! They were a *bit* of a pain to print but I think I've got the settings down now πŸ˜… . More placemats potentially available in the future if you guys like them, but currently think I'll just have them for Christmas πŸ‘€ . P.S. If you'd like to adopt a couple I'm happy to post them, just send me a message πŸ‘» . #DuckEggDesigns #AlternativeHome #PoisonPlants #DesignedByMe by @duckeggdesignss
Now that Onyx has your attention, please note that I won't be @elymarkets this Saturday but my Mum and twin sister Becca will be manning the stall for me (and hopefully not getting too cold) . They'll have a reduced stall display and no tshirts but we'll be back to normal the following Saturday! . If you happen to pop by the stall they may have a brand new product with them πŸ‘€ . Find me in Sheffield for the @steelcityalternative market at Trafalgar Warehouse from 10:30am - 5pm πŸ–€ . #DuckEggDesigns #TwinSisters #BlackCat #SpookyBitch by @duckeggdesignss
I really enjoyed painting these ghoul mini frames last week and sent one out to their new haunt yesterday πŸ‘»πŸ–€ . They'll be with Mum and Becca @elymarkets on Saturday (and I'm SO tempted to order more mini frames so I can paint a few more) πŸ–Œ . It felt great to do some painting and use some of my pile of craft supplies, and I'm so pleased with how they've turned out . #DuckEggDesigns #AlternativeArt #SpookyArt #GhostArt #ArtWall by @duckeggdesignss
Shoutout to Becca for taking some pics of me wearing my new tshirt design when we went round the Fitzwilliam on Friday . In her defence I spent a lot of time staring at artwork and showing her my back (not great for pictures of a front facing design) πŸ–€ and I also don't like having my photo taken which also didn't help but we managed to get a few good ones...... . Catch Becca and my Mum manning my stall @elymarkets this Saturday while I'm in Sheffield for the first time for @steelcityalternative Market . #DuckEggDesigns #SpookyBitch #CrowLove #CorvidArt #AlternativeFashion by @duckeggdesignss
Had a fabulous trip to the Fitzwilliam yesterday to see their newest exhibition about William Morris and the Pre Raphaelites - I love the artwork of William Morris and it was really cool to see some large scale pieces of his designs and the work of the people he collaborated with as well as his inspirations. . Swipe to the end to see a pic of me at the exhibition in my newest tshirt design πŸ‘€ . #DuckEggDesigns #WilliamMorris #MuseumTrip #AlternativeArt by @duckeggdesignss
There are ghosts on roughly 50% of my stall at all times now and I wouldn't have it any other way! πŸ‘» . It's so fun to draw these spooky little guys, and I love seeing how people react to them πŸ–€ . Swipe to the end for a bonus pic of me, @fauxflorabylaura and @bumble_wellnesswaxco dressed as ghosts πŸ˜‚ (With an honorary mention to @crafts.by.kate_ for taking the photo) . #DuckEggDesigns #SpookyBitch #GhostObsessed #AlternativeArt by @duckeggdesignss
Paint some ghosts with me! . I had so much fun painting the little ghoul for my stall decor that I thought it would be fun to paint some and put them up for adoption πŸ–€πŸ‘» . I bought a batch of mini frames and got to work popping out their backs and using acrylic paint with a healthy dose of water to layer up a ghost silhouette before pencilling in eye marks and using a sharpie to add them on (as it gives me a lot more control than a tiny brush). . I'm really happy with how these mini ghouls turned out and I hope you guys like them! . I'll have them (and a new tshirt design) with me at Ely Market on Saturday πŸ‘» . #DuckEggDesigns #SpookyDecor #AlternativeArt #GhostArt by @duckeggdesignss
