Would Wieniawski approve?🤔 #TBT Throwback to this performance of one of Evin’s arrangements: Wieniawski’s Etude-Caprice No. 1 in G minor, originally for two violins! We think Wieniawski would approve of this violin & cello version! 🙂

What makes this piece so fun is that the melody is shared between the two parts, moving from the violin to the cello.💕 #violin #cello #classicalmusic #chambermusic by @duoskope

We had so much fun playing together last month at the @colburnschool in Los Angeles! #tbt #throwbackthursday by @duoskope

About last night❤️🎶 This was our first live performance together since before COVID-19, after we had to cancel our last get-together in April 2020 due to the pandemic. We had a blast rehearsing and playing together all week, and we had such a great time sharing some of our favorite pieces during our Next Up Series recital at the @colburnschool !

(Thank you @pianotototory0409 for the photos!)

Five mini performances for a few of the Suzuki classes at the @colburnschool today! We had such a fun time performing a few pieces from our March 9th recital program and talking to all of the young musicians about our musical journeys!

Outside of DuoSkope, performing, and our orchestral careers, we love to give back to the community! Our relationship with community performances goes wayyyy back to when we played together at the @colburnschool - we would often volunteer for small performance opportunities at places like public schools, community centers, and the YMCA, and those were some of the first experiences that sparked our desire to give back through music! 🎼🎶🎵 #givingseason

Evin (@evinblomberg) just launched the first season of her organization, Soli Music Society (@solimusicsociety), in Fall 2022! Through performances and projects around the community, Evin’s goal is to share music with the community and introduce new and diverse audiences of all ages to classical music through fun and intimate performances.

Natalie (@nataliehelmcello) is the founder of Upward Notes (@upward_notes), an organization that brings classical music out of the concert hall and into the community while teaching and encouraging well-being for the audience and performer. Musicians of Upward Notes venture into a variety of locations such as jails, safe-houses, foster care, homeless shelters, addiction centers, and more, reaching out and sharing music with everyone!

We feel so lucky to love what we do, and we love being able to give back and share music with others!!!💕💗💖

Follow @solimusicsociety and @upward_notes to see what we’re up to!!
