Mohamad is the target of one of the most severe cases of federal repression our movement in the "united states" has experienced since 2023.

TAKE ACTION TO FREE MOHAMAD: https://pswg.link/free-mo-hamad

Mohamad is a 24 year old Lebanese-American activist and former Penn State student, who has spent the last year in federal prison awaiting trial for bogus charges of damaging (Zionist) property and conspiracy to use unregistered “explosive devices” on July 4th. If convicted he could face decades in prison.

What we see in Mohamad's case is a script playing on repeat for decades: A young Arab Muslim man, targeted and vilified by the state and its media apparatus, left to languish behind bars and a movement too afraid of the state's repression to engage in the necessary support.

Today we - 20+ organizations committed to the fight to free all our prisoners - flip the script, and we invite you to join us.

Share, comment, repost, and organize for Mohammad!

As he said in his letter to the community in July of 2025: "The first order of things we need, is to go public with this. Spread this wherever you can, share it on your story, have organizations make public statements, put pressure on this government, exercise your right to protest, chant our names, and most importantly know that we as the oppressed appreciate it so much.” by @durub.ntl

4 days after Knesset elections in Palestine and 4 days before the Midterm election, the Department of Justice indicted four additional Palestine solidarity activists on top of the Michigan 8. Now the Michigan 12, these are Palestine solidarity activists that have been systematically targeted by the Trump administration. This is part of a larger pattern of the federal government criminalizing dissent. by @durub.ntl

ICE just locked up the man who feeds 8,000 Bronx neighbors a month, at his own immigration hearing. Now his food pantry is shut.

Aleksander Nilaj, an Albanian immigrant who founded the Open Hand food pantry in the Bronx in 2012, showed up for his immigration hearing at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan. ICE agents detained him instead. He is now held at Delaney Hall, a detention center in Newark, New Jersey.

Open Hand serves 7,000 to 8,000 people every month. On Thursday and Saturday mornings people line up on Lydig Avenue for fresh produce and staples. Nilaj has paid out of his own pocket to feed people. Now the staff say they can't keep up without him. Food distribution is frozen, and they say the pantry will close for good if he doesn't come back.

The only thing he's accused of is overstaying the temporary visa he legally arrived on in 2006. Rep. Ritchie Torres says Nilaj told him he has gone to multiple immigration hearings over the years, trying to follow every rule.

DHS says he "received due process" because a judge ordered him removed back in 2008, 18 years ago.

Edith Blitzer manages the building where Nilaj worked as superintendent. She says he has pre-existing health problems, including a bad back. "He's like another son to me," she said. "This never should have happened."

Torres has visited him inside Delaney Hall, where he has been sounding the alarm about inadequate health care. "Delaney has about a thousand inmates. None of them are serious offenders or violent offenders," Torres said. "Detaining a man who has dedicated his life to feeding those in need is not justice… It's cruelty."

Bronx Community Board 11 wrote to an immigration judge asking that he be released on bond. His attorney is filing a habeas petition hoping to get him out. by @durub.ntl

The Michigan 8 are eight Palestine solidarity activists who have been systematically targeted by local, state, and now federal agents. They currently face decades in prison — echoing the worldwide repression attempting to weaken the movement for Palestinian liberation.

NYC! Join us on 11/8 at Trans Pecos to support and fundraise legal funds for our comrades. As repression reigns down, we must not shrink our support, but instead build an even stronger movement to fight back. 100% of proceeds will go to the legal fund for the Michigan 8 and water distribution in Gaza. Tickets will be $15 in advance and $20 at the door. See you there!!

The Kaylie Foundation routed $10.7 million through the Jewish National Fund, whose Blueprint Negev program is built to expand Jewish settlement of the desert.

JNF’s literature describes it as a drive to bring 500,000 new residents and 25 new communities to land where Bedouin citizens have lived for generations; its Israeli counterpart holds nearly half the seats on the Israel Land Authority’s council, the body that orders unrecognized Bedouin villages razed. The Kaylies’ hospital was built under that Blueprint Negev banner, in a region where a minister boasts of 5,700 Bedouin homes demolished in one year.

A family-named monument to healing, financed with $60 million from Mini-Circuits and subsidized by the US tax code, rising amid systematic dispossession — that isn’t philanthropy.

It’s branding for occupation and displacement. by @durub.ntl

Due to Jakhi's prosecutor having trial for another case, and a couple other reasons, sentencing has been postponed to an unknown date. Stay tuned for updates. by @durub.ntl
