I was there...

Pose test for The Emperor Vs Horus. Siege of Terra diorama.

I can't even express what it feels like to look at this and know I made it happen and that we're about to take it all the way! It's taken all year just to make the minis due to turbulent times but, the year is new, the dust is settling and it's time to go hard or go home and I never choose the latter! I believe this is the first time these two have been seen in colour like this in over 30 years so, I hope I got the colours right... It's how I always imagined it. Now I need to make the diorama! I am seriously lacking the materials and money I need to start it so, if anyone wants to support the floor tile and plasticard fund to raise some money so I can make the backdrop these legends truly deserve you can drop me a DM and book a commission or join my patreon to help turn this dream into a reality!

Warmaster Horus Lupercal. Siege of Terra.

Based on the artwork by @adriansmithartist
And the original diorama by @studiomcvey

Last mini of the year and I think if it wasn't the man himself then I couldn't call myself committed to this project. I've been putting off finishing him because it means I need to make the rest of the diorama which I think I'm making a mountain out of a molehill about when I look at what's left to do with some perspective. Finishing painting him has given me fresh energy to tackle the rest of the project and it's going to be my main focus for the start of the coming year! I still need to make sanguinius all dead n stuff so that's gonna be fun! I've already got the wings so I'm looking forward to starting him! I'd get all reflective but I think it's just more important to thank everyone who follows and supports me on patreon or with commissions on here your support makes the dream real so thank you so much for another incredible year! Here's to 2024! Hope you have a blast on Hogmanay! See you next year!

I lost a bit and making a new one was easier than finding the one I dropped

Already posted this guy but I added a bit to his base and did some refinement on the face. I also sculpted a little bloodclaw totem for his back. Now he's perfect! This picture is mainly for an unpainted light reference so, apologies if I'm gunking up your feed with this guy. Very much looking forward to getting some paint on this!

My first epic scale kitbash! I decided to try make a 6mm version of a bloodclaw. Complete with running pose, bare head, bionic eye, flowing locks, fur pelts, chest Aquila and even a tiny purity seal! I'm surprised how much I am able to do at this scale. Makes me wonder if I could sculpt an even smaller marine.. maybe 3mm.. who knows what's possible. Now all I need to decide is what chapter the downed dread should be? Suggestions in the comments please! Heavily inspired by the work of @draconian_minipainting

I've always wanted to post a coin for scale shot. I picked up a box of the tiny tiny beakies and a couple of the new tone pro paints namely bloodtoof red as I've seen it compared to the infamous blood red of yore. I haven't painted a blood angel since I made leonatos but I might need to make a couple regular sized ones cos this was fun. When second came out and I started the hobby I was hooked on blood angels so, painting this makes me feel like I'm getting back to my roots. Painting at this scale is a different kind of challenge (namely can you get the tiny bit of paint on the mini before it dries on your brush)but, it's definitely less ground to cover which means I can paint a whole mini in a night! Now to see if I can kit bash and sculpt these teenie weenie dudes! Someone's got to try it!
Hope you are having a great day whatever you are up to!

Might be a little extravagant for a single figure but, this is coming together nicely. Not too far to go...
