Cambria + Morro Bay

A weekend of celebrating love, wandering through storybook gardens and bookshops, seaside walks, hidden treasures, and the kind of friendship that feels like home.

Lately I’ve been learning grief and gratitude can live beside each other. This weekend felt like a soft reminder of that. In the beauty, the laughter, the ocean air, and the people I love, I felt so much peace. So much magic. So much love surrounding me.

And to Hayley and Gaby, what a beautiful celebration of your love. It was such an honor to be there and witness this chapter with you. There is something so special about sharing life’s milestones with the people who have known your heart for so long. I always think it is funny how we keep getting older but still feel sixteen in our heads. I am a whole wife now with real responsibilities and grocery lists and a life I built from scratch, but mentally I still feel like the same kid laughing at dumb jokes and trying to figure things out as I go.

Turning 33 actually feels really good to me. It is a solid number. No crisis. No dramatic meltdown. No moment of feeling old. Just this peaceful sense of growing up and somehow staying the same at the exact same time. It feels grounding in a really comforting way.

And today just felt right. The views. The wine. The sunlight doing its thing without me even trying. That soft, easy feeling where the whole day slows down around the edges. Maybe it was the weather. Maybe it was the energy. Maybe it was me finally letting myself be present for once.

Emeritus had the perfect vibe too. Warm. Relaxed. A little earthy but in a beautiful way. Gigi was amazing. She was cool and funny and clearly knew her stuff without making anything feel stiff. Their new sparkling rosé was so good and the Don Block was honestly everything. It was such a good experience.

Either way I am grateful. For the life I am building. For the people who love me. For the chapters I have closed. And for the ones I am finally walking into without fear. Thirty three is starting off strong and I am excited to see what this year brings.

If you made it this far tell me what age you still feel in your head because I swear none of us actually feel our real age.

I want to give a huge shoutout to our incredible photographer, Adriana (@portraits.by.adriana), whose creativity, kindness, and talent brought our vision to life. From the start, she made us feel completely at ease, guiding us with patience and encouragement—even when we were a little nervous (and maybe a bit needy!). Her authenticity, professionalism, and quirky charm made the entire experience unforgettable.
