POSTS STORIES REELS

Every journey starts somewhere 🇨🇺

This chapter takes me from Havana to Ecuador, and eventually to Miami—where the dream of earning a college tennis scholarship became the goal that shaped everything that followed.

Part 2 of 7: The Background. 🎞️🎾

By day, I’m a full-time tennis coach.

Before and after that, I’m behind the camera—filming, editing, learning, and building Early Breaks.

It’s a demanding balance, but the court isn’t something I step away from to create Early Breaks. It’s where Early Breaks comes to life, through the people I share it with every single day. 🎥🎾

Early Breaks didn’t begin the day I created the page.

It started years earlier, as a college tennis player wondering why so many incredible stories went untold. That feeling only grew stronger when I became a coach and found myself surrounded by people whose journeys deserved to be seen.

That became the mission—and it remains the heart of Early Breaks today. 🔎🎾

Exceeding expectations. One rally at a time. 🎾

Coach Adrian asked for 10 consecutive shots. Stephanie Pumar and John Pollock delivered 27.

An organic moment reflecting the focus, dedication, and standards of our High Performance program.

Not every tournament story is told on the court.

For players, coaches, families, and tournament staff, some of the longest days in tennis are the ones spent waiting to play.

Behind the scenes, tournament directors face difficult decisions, balancing schedules, unpredictable conditions, and the expectations of everyone involved.

A special acknowledgment to @jacit19 and @davidensigniatennis for navigating a challenging day with patience, kindness, and empathy for the players and their families.

A different perspective from the Junior Orange Bowl qualifiers in Miami. 🎾🌧️

Novak Palombo at @jobtennis 🍊🇦🇺

Named after @djokernole , the player who inspired his love for the game, 14-year-old Novak is quickly becoming one of Australia’s most exciting young tennis prospects.

We captured this point at the 2025 Junior Orange Bowl in Miami, where he returned after winning the Boys’ 12U title the previous year.

Since then, he’s been making his mark internationally.

A quarterfinal at @lespetitsas , his first ITF junior titles at just 13, a Wimbledon U14 semifinal, and a historic Tennis Europe Super Category title in Germany — the first by an Australian in 22 years.

Supported through the @alexdeminaurfoundation , Novak also helped Australia earn bronze at the World Junior Tennis Finals, winning all six of his singles matches and finishing the 2026 national-team campaign with a perfect 12–0 singles record.

An incredible stretch of achievements in such a short time. Looking forward to seeing where the journey takes him next, and hopefully capturing more of his tennis at the upcoming Junior Orange Bowl.

Meet @renataplopez_ 🇲🇽🎾

From Querétaro, Mexico, Renata is one of the country’s promising young tennis talents.

We first met her at the 2025 @jobtennis , where she was getting her first taste of higher-level international competition after reaching the COTECC U14 Masters final.

Less than a year later, her progress speaks for itself.

Grade 1 COSAT singles titles in Colombia and Guayaquil, four consecutive doubles titles alongside @loretta.serrano.tennis , and a European tour representing the ITF-COTECC U14 team. Now ranked No. 2 in Central America and the Caribbean.

Behind her development is Ricardo Chile, a former ATP and Cuban Davis Cup player and longtime friend of mine , whose dedication to coaching continues to help shape the next generation of tennis players.

From a young prospect gaining experience to an emerging talent making her mark internationally, Renata’s journey is one worth following. 🔎

Some things never change 😂

I’ve been hearing @tenniscoach_carlosg tell stories like this since I was a kid. His creativity and sense of humor have always been part of the way he connects with his students.

A reminder that coaching goes well beyond teaching the game. Keeping things fun, building relationships and creating moments that students will remember.

Still waiting for proof of that Roland Garros victory, though. 👀

#EarlyBreaks #ElCarli by @earlybreaks

A life dedicated to the game. 🎾

@tenniscoach_carlosg chose coaching as his profession at an early age. With more curiosity than experience, he immersed himself in the science behind the sport, determined to become the best coach he could be.

From studying Sports Science in Quito to building his career with @cliffdrysdalemanagement in Miami, his passion for learning and improving has opened doors he probably never imagined.

Today, he leads the newly transformed Grove Isle Racquet Center, a reflection of years spent growing, adapting and embracing every opportunity along the way.

But what I admire most is that, through it all, Carlos has never lost the joy of being on court. Always learning, innovating and making the game fun for those around him.

A reminder of how far loving what you do can take you.🙌🏽

#EarlyBreaks #ElCarli by @earlybreaks

The one person, aside from my closest family, who has been present throughout almost three decades of my life.

My physical trainer in Havana. My coach and savior in Quito. My colleague and mentor in Miami.

But above and through it all, the older brother I never had.

It’s my pleasure to reintroduce @tenniscoach_carlosg to this page. The most avid student of the game I’ve ever met, and the person responsible for the start of my coaching career — a path I had dismissed until he called and offered me a job at what is now his Grove Isle Tennis Center.

There’s no chapter of my tennis life that Carlos isn’t part of.

So if Early Breaks is going to tell the stories that shaped mine, his belongs here more than most. 🎾❤️

@coura.clara at @jobtennis 🍊

We met Clara walking off the court after a two-and-a-half-hour battle at the 2025 Junior Orange Bowl.

While her parents were still recovering from the match, Clara left the court singing. Minutes later, she gave us this quick interview — full of energy and personality — before heading right back out for doubles.

She ended our conversation believing great tournaments were ahead.

She wasn’t wrong.

In 2026, the 14-year-old Brazilian won the J100 in Cochabamba, reached the J200 final in Londrina and climbed to around the Top 180 in the ITF junior rankings for a career’s highest.

From singing off the court to making moves on it. 🇧🇷🎾

Raw Brazilian Tennis 🇧🇷🎾

Getting back to some of that natural, courtside view that started Early Breaks.

I’ve really enjoyed going through some of the content I never posted from @coura.clara at last year’s @jobtennis . One of the most natural, outgoing and fun personalities I came across at the tournament — with plenty of tennis to back it up.

Just a glimpse for now. More from Clara coming soon. 👀
