Started in the basement of my home.
A space that allowed me to build a business
and start a family.

When you nourish something close to your heart,
growth is inevitable.

What began small continues to grow,
reaching outward while staying rooted—
in home, in community, in care.

Rooted in community.
Honouring self.
Guided by heart.
Grounded in home.

Upper traps that won’t let go? Sometimes it’s time to change your approach.

Here I’m demonstrating neck massage techniques focused on the upper trapezius—exploring how positioning, pressure and movement can help us work with more precision.

Our next Target Series workshop, Neck Release & TMJ Approaches, brings the neck, shoulders and jaw into focus through anatomy, assessment and an integration of hands-on techniques.

Two days of advanced training for massage therapists, starting Monday, November 9 at École Setsuko. Take it on its own or as part of the full Target Series certificate.

Even teachers need time on the mat. 🙌

Here I’m receiving advanced Thai massage stretching from Master Orachon in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Being on the receiving end deepens my appreciation for the timing, support and precision behind each movement—there’s so much more happening than a stretch!

Explore this hands-on approach at École Setsuko with our upcoming trainings:

• Foundation Thai Massage Level 1
• Advanced Thai Massage workshops
• Table Thai Stretching
• Thai Foot Reflexology

Build your foundation or expand your practice with new ways to integrate touch, movement and stretching into your sessions.

What if your body could tell us exactly where it needs balance? ✨

Here I’m demonstrating Hara Reading, one of the fascinating assessment techniques used in traditional Japanese Shiatsu.

Through gentle palpation of the abdomen, we explore the energetic qualities of the meridians, identifying areas of Kyo (empty) and Jitsu (full). These subtle findings help guide our treatment and support the body's natural return to harmony and balance.

🌿 Want to learn how to feel what the body is communicating?

Join us for Shiatsu Level 1, starting next month at École Setsuko in Dorval!

🗓 Sundays | 9 AM – 4 PM

You don’t need to open your own practice the moment you graduate.

There’s real value in spending your first year or two in a clinic or spa: getting your hands on different bodies, adapting to different needs, and discovering the kind of therapist you want to become.

Meanwhile, you can continue building toward your 1,000 hours through advanced training and develop a stronger foundation for an independent practice.

That’s why our support at École Setsuko goes beyond the classroom. We offer mentorship, business and marketing support, and connections to employment opportunities—including clinics and spas that value the preparation behind a Setsuko diploma.

Build your skills. Gain experience. Grow into your practice with support.

It took me 10 months to win my gold medal in Sports Massage. 🥇

I almost didn’t compete this time because I felt my technique wasn’t quite there yet.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without all the coaches, friends, and masters who have taught me, shared their advice, given me feedback and motivation me along the way.

A heartfelt thank you to Boycie, Aungkulee, Weaw, Len, Matcha, Wassa, Steve, Soontree, Hubert, Jose, Anthony, Sean, Sara, Kevin, Jenni, Sol, and Antonio.
I’m truly grateful to have learned or received supports from all of you.

A special thank you to @ecolesetsuko for creating such a wonderful community where I can keep learning, and growing.

To me, everyone who steps onto that competition stage is a winner in their own way. We all have our own journeys, challenges, and progress. Until next time! by @ecolesetsuko

🔥 Beyond the impressive moves… let’s get back to the basics!

After all the excitement and energy of the Thai Massage Championship, it’s time to get back in the classroom! 👣

Barefoot Shiatsu and floor work have gained so much popularity, from flowing foot glides to the impressive stretching techniques we see on social media and in competitions.

But the real art goes beyond the moves.

✨ Body mechanics & leverage
✨ Rhythm, pressure & breath
✨ Comfort, connection & intention

Understanding these fundamentals is what transforms a technique into meaningful bodywork.

📍 Dorval | Sunday, October 25

🌿 NEW PROGRAM begins Nov 29th
