Incredibly honored and humbled to receive this award.

In this industry some people pay to be featured in magazines and win awards. I just happen to have a graphic designer on payroll.

Seven years running. 🥂 by @eddiehaar

I did not want to get in.

Sick with a cold. Running on nothing. Every excuse a man could want was sitting right there in my chest.

I felt like shit.

I got in anyway.

Look at the picture. The sun is doing its job. The water is doing its job.

The only thing in that frame that had a choice was me.

That is the whole fight. Not the cold. The choice.

The water does not negotiate. It does not care that I am sick. It does not care how long I have been running on empty. It was the same temperature on the morning I felt like a king and it will be the same temperature on my worst day.

Nothing I am responsible for gets a smaller version of me because I woke up weak.

Nothing I am building was ever going to be built by a man who shows up when he feels like it.

You want to know what strong is.

It is not the picture.

It is the thirty seconds before the picture when every part of you says no.

And you get in. by @eddiehaar

Look at Gersh.

The man who never smiles.

That smile says everything.

Swipe. by @eddiehaar

It’s Gershom’s birthday.

The man you know as never having a smile or always looking serious.

The man who takes a picture of the same part of the office building every day.

I think that sums him up. The man you can count on to be tremendously consistent.

Some people laugh at the idea of business being comparable to war.

As far as I am concerned it’s about as life and death as it can be.

Business is life and death because the outcomes determine whether your family eats. Whether your house stays. Whether your children have what they need.

We have families to provide for.

We have households to maintain and uphold.

Never let anyone trick you into believing money isn’t necessary for a safe, healthy, productive, and happy life.

Gershom and I have risen together and had undeniably wild years of prosperity.

We’ve also had the rug pulled from us and had to scramble to make Christmas happen.

What a pleasure to have two men who stick it out no matter the outcome.

Partnerships can be difficult. Others can be blessings.

He was my partner.

Then my brother.

We were family before he ever became the uncle to my daughter and my son.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for this man who has walked through fire with me on many occasions.

No matter the situation, we have always been able to lean on each other and come out the other side winning.

You have seen it. But maybe never understood the depth.

If you spend time around Gershom and you actually listen, he will help you become a better human.

He has done that for me.

I am a better man than I was, having this ultra disciplined man beside me who can either rip the limbs off another human being or gaze in awe at the beauty of his daughters with tears in his eyes.

I would not be where I am today without Gersh.

He would not be where he is without me.

We love each other unconditionally for the decade of commitment to building our lives and futures together. by @eddiehaar

Tim Grover placed Kobe’s 2009 championship ring in my hand.

He said go ahead. Put it on. Take a picture.

I will be honest. It was a bit overwhelming.

Not just because it is a half pound of gold with 100 flawless diamonds.

But because of what it represents.

Most people see the ring. I saw the million invisible moments that produced it.

This object is a result. A result of tremendous sacrifice.

A million small decisions where the easy route was not the path taken.

Blood and sweat. Melted into gold and diamonds.

If Kobe had taken the easy path on any one of those million decisions, maybe this ring would not have been in my hand 17 years later.

I do not know what my decisions today will affect 17 years from now.

But in honor of Kobe and Tim, I will take the hard path. by @eddiehaar

Imagine a car salesperson posting every day that rates are high and cars cost too much.

Or a roofer explaining that labor and materials are expensive, so you should probably just live with the leak.

That is what half of mortgage and real estate content sounds like right now.

Consumers already know affordability is difficult. They don’t need us to repeatedly advertise the obstacle.

They need someone who can run the numbers, explain the tradeoffs, uncover leverage, negotiate creatively and tell them honestly whether acting now makes sense for them.

Sometimes waiting is the right answer.

But that conclusion should come from the client’s numbers, not the professional’s fear of the market.

If your content makes people less likely to call you, it isn’t education. It’s anti-marketing.

Stop marketing the obstacle.

Start marketing your ability to navigate it. by @eddiehaar

Gershom says the best burger on Long Island is at Mary’s Pizza in Farmingdale.

A pizza shop.

We go so often they call him Double Burger Guy. Which is not even on the menu.

I keep telling him there has to be a better burger on this island.

He will not budge.

Long Island. Settle this.

Where is the best burger?

If you say Shake Shack I am blocking you. by @eddiehaar

It’s Mike Deyak’s birthday.

Mike started with us as a processor transitioning to sales.

One thing I love in business is when our people strive to be the best.

Not the best loan originator.

Not the best production manager.

But the best person they can be.

I have watched Mike relentlessly pursue better.

A better life for him and his family.

Better health and fitness.

Better discipline. Reading books. Pursuing knowledge. Choosing hard on purpose.

Mike has been drinking through a firehose since he joined us.

He used the pressure as fuel to become someone new.

If Mike today ran into Mike from five years ago, he would not recognize him.

He would be proud of who took his place.

It’s astoundingly beautiful to watch my brothers level up.

Happy birthday, Mike. by @eddiehaar

The Bear

To her it’s just a cute bear.

To her daddy it’s so much more.

It’s the confidence to grow his organization like he has always wanted.

It’s knowing he can tell clients and referral partners that we’ll handle it, with the surety that we will.

It’s the support that means he isn’t running on empty by the weekend.

To her it’s a cute bear. To her daddy it’s proof of everything about to change.

That means she gets her daddy back whole at the end of the day.

It means daddy has the energy on the weekend to be present.

She doesn’t know it yet. But this little bear means a lot to both of us. by @eddiehaar

Capitalism

Capitalism is often demonized.

It really makes me wonder.

I woke up this morning with central air cooling my family. Sunrise peeking through our skylights.

I woke up healthy. Six foot three. 215 pounds lean.

My daughter smiling at me, snuggled in a king-sized bed.

We went outside and watched the sunrise over the canal. She dropped little pebbles and watched the water splash.

We fed her breakfast. No rushing. No hurry to get out of the house on a Sunday morning.

I gave our cats a bath. Which requires the patience of a saint.

Yentl took Frances for a walk. I left to the butcher for grass-fed meat for the week’s meal prep.

Got into my car. Safe. Technologically advanced. Twin turbo V8. Leather seats you could take a nap in.

Stopped at my 5,000 square foot office. Where Monday through Friday we enrich lives, help people accomplish their biggest goals, and make a living for our families while we do so.

This office has not just changed my life. Not just Gershom’s. Not just our team’s. It has changed the lives of hundreds of families we have helped secure a foundation and a legacy.

Capitalism gave me comfort.

Capitalism gave me health.

Capitalism gave me security.

Capitalism gave me presence with my daughter.

I am the little boy who ate Thanksgiving dinner from the food pantry.

I am the little boy who grew up in section 8 housing.

I am not bragging.

Capitalism gave my family a life I did not experience in my early years.

To me, that is beautiful.

So I ask a question.

Should capitalism be demonized? Or if it is done correctly, should it be celebrated? by @eddiehaar

Most mortgage companies are still stuck in their ways.

They talk about how much better they are at helping you close the loans you already have. They call it “support.”

But it’s 2026. If you’re still here, you already know how to close a loan.

You don’t really need more support. You need more loans.

We’ve watched too many good loan officers grind themselves into the ground at shops that can’t help them grow. Every IMB is running the same pitch. Faster closings. Better tech. More support. We’ll free you up.

Free you up to do what?

You don’t need help getting them closed. You need more closings. More loan opportunities. More lead flow. More conversations. More applications. More loans.

Real support shouldn’t start only after you already found a borrower.

Real support helps you find the next one.

We’re giving loan officers a super car. Let’s get to work.
