Amazing experience to see these French birds here in Germany performing at such a small airfield - definitely worth a visit!🔥🤘

What a legendary encounter!🔥
This former warbird Douglas DC-3, rebuilt as a Basler BT-67 operated by Bell Geospace, is currently based at Speyer Airport for airborne geophysical surveying missions over the surrounding region. Equipped with modern avionics and specialized sensors, this iconic aircraft combines classic aviation heritage with cutting-edge technology to map subsurface structures, supporting resource exploration and geological research. Truely an iconic piece of aviation history and an absolutely fascinating aircraft!

Especially a huge thanks goes out to the amazing crew from Canada and the whole team from Speyer Airport for making pictures like these possible! 🇨🇦

Guess it couldn't get any better😮‍💨 57-1483 leaving ETAR under just in time bright sun with an crazy intense rainbow in the background after a heavy rain shower, heading to Fairchild AFB🔥
With an age of more than 67 years, this old lady ranks as the 24th oldest KC-135 still in service, representing the oldest aircraft I've ever spotted in the entire USAF fleet 🫡 Note all the orange rust on the airframe, especially around the tail section. Definitely one of my highlights at ETAR this year!

Definitely not the best weather, but still something special! Face to face with the Airbus Beluga XL (A330-700L) F-GXLG while taking-off in Bremen on the way to Toulouse.

Farewell, A340-600!

Today, the last commercial Lufthansa A340-600 service arrived at Frankfurt Airport, bringing an incredible 23-year chapter to a close. To mark the occasion, here is a small collection of some photos I've taken of this majestic bird over the years.

Although luck wasn't really on my side during the past few weeks when it came to catching her one last time during golden hour, she will always remain one of the most iconic sights at Frankfurt Airport.

You will definitely be missed! 👋

A little throwback to late spring this year, when the Stratotankers were a regular sight at Stuttgart Airport.
Here, 63-8026 and 62-3515, based in Utah and Illinois respectively, can be seen arriving from Tel Aviv in rainy conditions. 🔥

D-ABYN banking left out of Frankfurt Airport en route to Los Angeles, California 🇺🇸

Finally got to see the legendary 100th Anniversary special scheme on the Boeing 747-8 in person! What an absolute beauty. Lufthansa really nailed this special livery and created something truly unique!

What's your opinion about this livery?

Not seen for quite some time, but back with something loud!🔥

One of my recent trips over the past few weeks took me to Fliegerhorst Ingolstadt - Manching (ETSI), where I had the opportunity to photograph my very first Tornado. As if that wasn't enough, it turned out to be 98+79, the WTD61 "Test Flight" special livery, making the whole experience even better.

It’s honestly a blessing to have already ticked this Tornado off my bucket list, especially considering they're scheduled to retire in 2030 already.

Definitely not my last visit at ETSI!

Last Sunday, Atlas Air terminated its weekly Boeing 747 freighter service between the USA and Stuttgart, with operations now shifted to Frankfurt...
Here, N862GT — the aircraft we have seen most regularly on this route over the past years — is seen rotating out of Stuttgart Airport on one of its final rotations.

A sad farewell to this awesome Jumbo connection on so many Sundays!👋

59-1471 USAF KC-135T, operated by the 141st ARW with its amazing "100 YEARS OF FLIGHT" special scheme departing EDDS after resting on the military apron for a few days, heading to Fairchild AFB 🇺🇸

Such an absolute eyecatcher of a livery on this Stratotanker!🔥
