🫱🏽‍🫲🏾PROOF OF CONCEPT✨ 🌺Yesterday, 20 black and brown women from three generations met up in the power of sisterhood, community, prioritising our wellbeing, and #BlackJoy. Thank you so so much for each and every one of you who made The Art of Holding Space in Stockholm a sanctuary for mutual growth, healing, and enjoyment❤️ 🫂@chantraine reminded us about showing compassion for each other as intergenerational trauma is a reality of our community. ☁️ @lolaakinmade shared the Yoruba, saying that "- The sky is big enough for all birds to fly without their wings touching" = there is more than enough space for all of us. 🫀Jabou Foon of @sumahaven amplified the importance of exploring our mental health in a culturally safe environment. 🤍Our founder @miriamnabunya embed in us the limitless possibilities available to us as black women from the moment we hold space for each other, create opportunities for each other, and move with intention together. There is NO narrative we can´t shake and transform IF we do it together. 🎤@itsmeganalbright elegantly kept us afloat and goal oriented. 🥂🥑@dkk_events served us and fed us like royalty. 🏩Thank you to @abfstockholm for opening up your doors for such a transformative gathering. 🥙@boogie_bytes_ for your tantalising treats. ✨@interfem for your humbling support. ❤️Thank you to our key partner @unat.se, run by the impeccable Mercy Mbabazi and to our favourite nurse that made the whole vision of coming to Stockholm possible @nurseaisha_rn 🫂. You two are the epitome of sisterhood, moving with intention and space holding. ✨ Stockholm, holding space is a practice you live by. Thank you for having us, and we will be back❤️ . . . #TheArtofHoldingSpaceTour25 #TheYearOfExpansion #EdgesandDrinks #BlackHealing #BlackJoy #Sisterhood #Collaboration #CommunityLove #AfroNordicWomen by @edgesanddrinks

As we close the curtain on International Women’s Month, the Union of Nigerian Nationals in Norway (UNNN) proudly reflects on a celebration that was so much more than a gathering. It was a sanctuary. Our Women’s Day celebration was a tremendous success. 💜 We truly experienced the meaning of this year’s theme: “Give To Gain.” And it would not have been possible without the steady, beautiful partnership of our sisters in the Union of Nigerian Nationals in Norway @nigeriannationalsnorway . Thank you for standing with us, dreaming with us, and building this space side by side. This collaboration is exactly what community is supposed to feel like. 🤝🏾 With approximately 60 women of colour from over 16 nations in the room, we laughed, we learned, we evolved – and most importantly, we saw each other. There was softness, there was power, there were tears and loud laughter, there was dancing, food, care, and so much affirmation. To every single one of you who showed up, shared your energy, your stories, your presence: thank you for allowing us to serve you. You were the magic in the room. 🌸 You didn’t just attend an event – you helped create it. Your openness, your curiosity, your vulnerability and your joy turned a program into a living, breathing community moment. To our partners, speakers, performers, volunteers and behind-the-scenes angels: we see you and we appreciate you deeply. To our guests: these flowers are for you. 🌺 May you carry the warmth, insights and connections from this day into your everyday life. This is not the end – it’s a reminder of what is possible when women come together with intention, generosity and courage. #Sisterhood #Edgesanddrinks #IWD2026 #afronordicwomen #blackjoy by @edgesanddrinks
