POSTS STORIES REELS

I used to run a personal training studio and a tumble gym. Then I picked up a camera and learned wedding videography from some of the best in the world. I’ve got a wedding coming up soon, and I’m still just as fired up as I was on my first one. Along the way I found three more things I love: helping small businesses get more customers, making films that show off airports, and telling the stories behind aviation through documentary films.

Now I get to film airports, pecan farms, cheese makers, cigar lounges and boxing nights. We even put on a movie night at the airport where we showed a film dedicated to Dale Snodgrass, The Real Maverick, and over 1500 people showed up. Still can’t believe that one.

None of it happens without my wife and my son. They’re the reason I do any of it. (He’s already better at this than me.)
I’m blessed to be where I am today. It’s wild where life takes you with a camera in your hand. Thank you to everyone who’s trusted me, hired me, shared my work, or just said hey at the right time.

Had a great time @nasjaxairshow

Unfortunately I couldn’t stay long so I missed the blue angels. But the @afthunderbirds did incredible! by @edwards_motionpictures

Crews just called it “the Snake.” 🐍

Long, skinny, and mean. It was only about 3 feet wide, so you’d barely see it coming head-on.
Bell’s first prototype even had retractable landing gear, like a jet. They dropped that for the real thing and kept it simple with skids.
Then Vietnam happened. Cobras flew over a million hours there. A million. These crews were out there covering the guys on the ground.
And here’s the one that gets me. In the ‘80s, Iranian Cobras reportedly shot down Iraqi MiG-21 fighter jets, using nothing but the helicopter’s cannon. A helicopter taking out a fighter jet. That’s not supposed to happen.
Sixty years later, the Marines are still flying the newest version, the AH-1Z Viper.

The Snake never really left. 🔥 by @edwards_motionpictures

Sixty years and still going. Pretty wild.

Back in ‘65, attack helicopters weren’t even a thing. Nobody asked for one. Bell built it anyway with their own money and had it flying in about eight months. Two years later it was in Vietnam.

Here’s my favorite part. When the engineers were figuring out how wide to make it, someone pointed at the door of the room they were in. It was just over 3 feet wide. So that’s how wide they made the helicopter. From the front, you can barely see it.

Iran even flew them in the ‘80s and got into dogfights with Soviet Hind helicopters. Helicopter vs. helicopter. Almost never happens.

The Army eventually swapped it for the Apache, but the Marines kept upgrading theirs. Today it’s the AH-1Z Viper, still flying.

And some of the old Army Cobras ended up with the Forest Service, spotting wildfires with infrared cameras. 🔥 by @edwards_motionpictures

@staugustineairport thank you for giving me the honor of creating a film for a true legend. @pilot_4_life I couldn’t have done it without you, brother. @rookisaacman @nasa Thank you for taking the time to do the interview! It ment a lot to us at the airport.

My family and I moved to St. Augustine just six months ago. Never in a million years did I think I’d be standing in front of 1,500 people watching a film that we created. The craziest part? We pulled it all together in just three months.

But my favorite part of this entire experience wasn’t the premiere—it was the incredible people I’ve met along the way. The friendships, the stories, and the opportunity to work alongside people who cared so deeply about honoring Dale’s legacy.

Dale “Snort” Snodgrass, I never had the chance to meet you. But after hearing the stories, talking with the people who knew you best, and putting this film together, I feel like I got to know the kind of man you were. A legendary pilot, an incredible leader, and someone who left a lasting impact on everyone around you.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me with this story. This is one I’ll never forget. by @edwards_motionpictures
