✈️🇳🇿 DEPARTURE DAY — AND WE’RE HEADING HOME!

Our NZ Iron Armour Academy U13s & U14s boys are officially on their way back home to Aotearoa!
What a journey it has been! These boys have made memories, created history, grown as athletes, and experienced something they will carry with them for a lifetime. 🥹🏉
A MASSIVE THANK YOU to Marcell and his beautiful family for everything you have done for our athletes across all squads. Your generosity, love, and support have played such a huge part in making this journey possible, and we are forever grateful.

To all our parents and whānau, thank you for your endless love, sacrifices, encouragement, and unwavering support. ❤️
To our coaches, managers, and everyone who has stood alongside these boys, whether on the front line or working tirelessly behind the scenes, THANK YOU! 🙌🏽
Every person who has played a part in our athletes’ journeys has contributed to something bigger than rugby. You have helped create opportunities, build confidence, strengthen bonds, and give these boys an experience they will never forget.
It takes a village to make dreams a reality, and we are so grateful for ours. ❤️
Safe travels home, boys! All our whanau in Aotearoa is waiting for you! 🇳🇿✈️

My children, remember this for the rest of your lives:

We don’t beg for a seat at a table where we’re not welcomed. We don’t chase people for acceptance, and we don’t change who we are just to fit in.

If they don’t make room for you, build your own table.

Build it with hard work, loyalty, respect and self-belief. Then fill it with people who love you for exactly who you are - not what you can do for them.

As your father, I need you to know your worth. Never lower yourself for anyone. Never forget who you are.

Know your worth. Stand tall. Build your own table. And be very careful who you give a seat to. ❤️ by @efuwicgi

I’ve learned that sometimes God doesn’t remove the darkness - He walks with you through it.

Some battles change you. Some losses break parts of you that you thought could never break. But somewhere in that pain, you start to see life differently. You learn what truly matters, who truly matters, and how strong you can become when you have no choice but to keep moving.

And maybe one day, everything I’ve been through won’t just be part of my story - it’ll be the reason I can help someone else find their way through theirs. 🙏🏽🖤 by @efuwicgi

Bro, I just want you to know that no matter what happens, I’ve got you. I’ll stand beside you through the good days, the hard days, and everything in between. You’ve been there for me, and I’ll never forget that. No matter where life takes us or how tough things get, you’ll never have to go through it alone. I love you, bro.
♾️💯 by @efuwicgi

I’m proud of you.
I believe in you.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to carry everything alone.
And no matter how old you get, you’ll always have a place to come home to.

Be strong, but know it’s okay to be vulnerable.
Make mistakes, learn, get back up.

You are loved - not for what you achieve, but simply because you’re my son. ❤️ by @efuwicgi

Losing someone you love changes you in ways you never expect. Some days it breaks you, other days it opens your eyes to what really matters.

I’m learning that grief isn’t something you simply get over. You learn to carry it, grow around it, and keep moving forward - while keeping their memory alive.

QUEENSLAND INTERNATIONAL OPEN GOLDEN GLOVES 2026

Massive thank you to everyone who helped to get me here to my first international boxing tournament, without the love and support from the people around me this would not have been possible. I am truly grateful 🙌💯

Thank you to my gym and team @phoenixboxing_ for giving me the time, patience, skills, knowledge and safe environment to be able to compete with the best and to my Coaches, Rob, John @delazmer @gee_tivskee @jake_niuskii for always being in my corner and having my best interests at heart always ❤️‍🔥 PHOENIX 🐦‍🔥 RISE UP 📈

Congratulations to my opponent @liljay.sports & @mayhem_boxing_bne for claiming the 2026 title via a hard fought Split Decision, lessons are never easy to take but we reset, recalculate and go again! Jason and I were the only 2 Open Category (20+ fights) fighters in the U15 44kg Division, setting us both apart from the rest and going to a straight final. This 12 year old boy will be back and better 💪

Also thank you to @_isaac_waru_ & @teamhuniunited for the Challenge Bout, we went up a weight division and took the fight on 1 hours notice as his original opponent pulled out. Another hard fought split lesson but none the less great experience and always learning and improving ☝️

Special thank you to @er__braids & @hotspotbarbershop for sponsoring my braids for this tournament, and to @jordymack__ & @ourfamilybarber for sponsoring my cut here in QLD.

Special thank you to my family @junglemode_ & @whyclothingco__ for helping with extra trainings, nutrition, gear, uniform, costs & expenses on this trip, always supporting without asking is something I am always grateful for ♾️🔒

Thank you to my family and friends who are always supporting near and far even though the decisions didnt go my way, with your continual love, support and encouragement i know i can achieve the greatness i strive for 💫🔂📈

As always thank you to my Mum & Dad @pou_lesoa & @efuwicgi for the unconditional love and support and always reminding me that i can accomplish whatever i set my mind to 🧡🤎
