An excerpt from a poem I wrote yesterday :) it's been a tough year. I can't believe it's October already

I just found out that many publishers refuse to publish works that have previously appeared on social media for some reason. I find this very frustrating because once I finish writing a poem, the first thing I think about is sharing it with you guys! It feels like I have to create content specifically for social media, which is very exhausting. I want my focus to be fully on writing poetry, but it's 2026, and personal branding and marketing have become a huge part of building a successful writing career.

Franz Kafka’s Letter to His Father (Brief an den Vater) is a 1919 unfinished autobiographical text in which Kafka tries to explain his lifelong fear of his domineering father, Hermann, and analyze how his strict upbringing damaged his adult life. A heartbreaking letter worth reading and absolutely one of my favourites that I personally relate to.
