POSTS STORIES REELS

No words. Just riffs.

Everything I couldn’t say, I put into my hands.
Grief. War. Survival.
This is how I speak now.

I’m Sean.
Marine Corps veteran of the Iraq War.
I survived mortar fire in Fallujah, but came home with PTSD and TBI.

Music was the only thing I ever returned to.

In 2024, I lost my father — a man who struggled with addiction but loved with his whole heart. He tried to make up for the pain the only way he knew how: by giving me guitars.
He was the one who taught me to feel the music.

A year later, I turned grief into sound.
My debut album, The Liminal Spaces, drops May 30.
This is more than music — it’s memory, war, healing, and survival.

This is for my father.
He never got to hear it, but his spirit is in every note.
“Stag on the Cliff” is out now—cinematic guitar music forged through war, grief, and survival.
From the upcoming album The Liminal Spaces, out May 30.

Listen now. Share if it moves you.

GORE-ROTTED AND CALCIFIED — EIGHTS AND FOURS

People see a metal musician and assume he lacks substance.

They hear the heavy chords, double bass, blast beats, and guttural screams and think, “Who hurt you?”

They scroll past the man alone in his studio, guitar in hand, creating something from nothing. Every drum fill programmed. Every bass note played. Every chord struck. Every growl and scream recorded.

They decide it’s just noise. That someone making music this abrasive must be angry, disturbed, or looking for attention.

But someday, life may bring them a grief they cannot comprehend.

Not a bad day. Not a passing sadness. The kind of loss that changes you forever. That leaves you searching for words that don’t exist.

They’ll turn to their phones and find endless distraction. They’ll turn to friends who love them but cannot fully understand. They’ll turn to familiar songs and discover those songs cannot reach the place where they’re hurting.

And perhaps they’ll remember the metal musician they once scrolled past.

The man playing guitar and screaming into a microphone.

Not because he lacked substance. Not because he needed saving.

But because ordinary words could no longer contain what he’d experienced.

Because beneath every distorted chord and guttural scream was a human being trying to make something meaningful out of grief.

He wasn’t screaming because he had nothing to say.

He was screaming because he had too much to carry. by @eightsnfours

I could care less about your attention span, or lack thereof… It is of no consequence to me that you are without nuance, depth/meaningful sentimentality. by @eightsnfours

I encourage every one of you to create something. Anything.

Build something. Draw. Write. Play music. Work with your hands. Make something digitally. Take an idea that exists only in your mind and bring it into the world.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to impress anyone. It doesn’t even have to be seen by anyone.

Just make something that is yours.

There’s something deeply fulfilling about creating something that didn’t exist before you made it.

Create for the sake of creating.🤘🤘 by @eightsnfours

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the mental struggles of modern life and what that entails for each of us on this spinning space rock. Please take the time to speak those you love…
