One of my all-time favourites. Happy World Opera Day! by @eilis_dexter_mezzo

Gearing up for the opening night of Alberto Caruso @carusocomposer & Colm Tóibín's racy opera 'The First Festival' which follows the story of four motor taxation office workers (of whom Betty is the boss) and what happens when a bunch of opera singers and their chorus mistress arrive in town!

It has been unbelievably fun putting this show together these past weeks and so I'm excited for the audiences at @wexfordfestivalopera to join us! Get ready for a good laugh and to have your heart warmed ❤️🌈 🎉

It was so lovely to perform with these two amazing singers this evening for Culture Night for @wexfordfestivalopera . @catherinehooper_ and I both studied together at @rcmlondon and I worked with @eilisdexter.mezzo at @b_v_o_f . It's so wonderful how music reunites people after many years! 😁

Just one of many dramatic and fulfilling moments of The Music Makers by Elgar from last Friday's concert with Dublin County Choir (featuring my nephew's thumb 😂). Congratulations to all involved! 🎉

It's been 2 weeks since the final performance of Jonathan Dove's fairytale opera The Enchanted Pig with @ahime.opera and I am still wondering how to put this incredible experience into words!

I have never felt such warmth, openness and support from a group of colleagues as I have with this incredible team of creatives. A huge thank you to every single one of you who made this absolute cracker of a show happen 💕

We brought so much joy to 6 wonderful audiences and welcomed lots of newcomers to the world of opera. I am so excited for the future of this beautiful company 🎉

Flora wird von Eilís Dexter gesungen!🐽
@eilis_dexter

Oper mal anders. by @eilis_dexter_mezzo

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of coming home to sing the role of Dido in a packed out performance of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas with the brilliant Christ Church Community Chorus directed by @womostotkins.

What was even better was getting to sing with my love @michaelmccartan17 as Aeneas and the incredible @sofiakirwanbaez and @sarahthursfield singing at least 2 roles each with seamless shape-shifting! A stunning evening of music-making 🎶

Purcell's music has always moved me deeply and I only hope I get to revisit the Queen of Carthage in the future! 👑

It's over a week since we finished up our 4 performances of 'Drift' by @philippjrhein with wonderful colleagues and friends.

Three mini operas in one, I had a the pleasure of working on 'Einordnen' with @manuelibus who kindly drove us around the mountains while speaking our libretto (a very heated argument!!). Thank you for your hard work, patience and openness in pushing the boundaries of acting and singing in a car seat!

A massive thanks to Annette Uhlen for going above and beyond her role as director, teacher and mentor - I am so lucky to have learned so much from her in her final project at ZHdK.

This was the most difficult piece I've performed to date both musically and scenically and I'm so grateful for such an opportunity for growth during my studies. Thanks to everyone who made it happen!

Very excited for this Thursday evening where I'll be joining the @goethechoir for selections from Bach's Christmas Oratorio and some lovely carols at @nationalconcerthall with a gorgeous line-up of fellow soloists 🤩

Bound to be a beautiful evening of music! 🎄 by @eilis_dexter_mezzo
