SMALL MAGPIEπŸ¦‹ πŸ‘‰πŸ» Anania hortulata, also known as the small magpie, is a species of moth of the family Crambidae found in Asia, Europe and North America. Eggs are mostly laid on stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) and occasionally on Labiatae such as white horehound (Marrubium vulgare), woundwort (Stachys species) and mint (Mentha species).[ The wingspan is 24–28 millimetres (0.94–1.10Β in) The head and thorax are deep ochreous-yellow, black-spotted. Forewings are yellowish-white, markings blackish; base blackish, with two ochreous-yellow marks; a suffused costal streak; lines thick, first irregular, second tending to form spots, curved, narrowest below middle; small orbicular and large round discal spots, touching costal streak; a terminal fascia tending to form spots, edge parallel to second line. Hind wings with colour, second line, and terminal fascia as in forewings; a blackish discal spot. The larva is whitish; dorsal line dull green, white-edged; head and plate of 2 black. The moth flies from June to July depending on the location and is easily disturbed by day. It flies from dusk onward and comes to light. πŸ¦‹Anania hortulata πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄ Nesleengmott πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Small MAGPIE β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” ID Corrections Are Welcome! β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Β© 2026 EKO Macros All Rights Reserved Please do not download and distribute without my consent. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” πŸ“ΈOM-D-E M1 Mark III πŸ”¬M.zuiko 90mm v860II πŸ“žHandheld singleshots πŸ”¦ Godox V350 πŸ“‘#cygnustechdiffuser πŸ•·οΈ πŸ“Norway β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” #cygnustech #diptera #lepidoptera #ekomacros ekomacros26 by @ekomacros

Red Mason Bee πŸ‘‰πŸ» Osmia bicornis (synonymOsmia rufa) is a species of mason bee, and is known as the red mason bee due to its covering of dense gingery hair. It is a solitary bee that nests in holes or stems and is polylectic, meaning it forages pollen from various different flowering plants. These bees can be seen aggregating together and nests in preexisting hollows, choosing not to excavate their own. These bees are not aggressive; they will only sting if handled very roughly and are safe to be closely observed by children.Females only mate once, usually with closely related males. Further, females can determine the sex ratio of their offspring based on their body size, where larger females will invest more in diploid females eggs than small bees. These bees also have trichromatic colour vision and are important pollinators in agriculture 🐝Osmia bicornis (rufa) πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄Hornmurerbie πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Red Mason Bee β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” ID Corrections Are Welcome! β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Β© 2026 EKO Macros All Rights Reserved Please do not download and distribute without my consent. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” πŸ“ΈOM-D-E M1 Mark III πŸ”¬M.zuiko 90mm v860II πŸ“žHandheld singleshots πŸ”¦ Godox V350 πŸ“‘#cygnustechdiffuser πŸ•·οΈ πŸ“Norway β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” #cygnustech #raw_community_member #masonbees #ekomacros by @ekomacros

Antsy Aphid Alliance πŸ‘‰πŸ»Second photo this year of the same species of ants. Also taken from Hurummarka. This species of anta primarily feed on honeydew from aphids, and they also take away nectar from flowering plants. Some ants protect aphids from ladybugs and spiders in order to feed on the honeydew. The aphids produce the honeydew from the sap of plants. The sap is full of suger and carbs, but low in protein. Aphids have to consume endless amounts to get enough protein. That ends up in a lot of suger, so they make honeydew to get rid of all that sugar. Therefore, honeydew is a byproduct. 🐜Formica lugubris πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄HΓ₯ret skogsmaur πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Harry Wood Ant β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” ID Corrections Are Welcome! β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Β© 2026 EKO Macros All Rights Reserved Please do not download and distribute without my consent. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” πŸ“ΈOM-D-E M1 Mark III πŸ”¬M.zuiko 90mm v860II πŸ“žHandheld singleshots πŸ”¦ Godox V350 πŸ“‘#cygnustechdiffuser πŸ•·οΈ πŸ“Norway β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” #cygnustech #ants #formica #ekomacros ekomacros26 by @ekomacros
