This work unfolds as a threshold, an imagined gate that does not simply divide space but gathers it. Its surface is dense with symbols drawn from different cultural lineages, each one positioned as if waiting, suspended in a moment before passage. They do not yet cross, but they are no longer separate either. They exist in proximity, in tension, in quiet anticipation.
The gate becomes a site of encounter. Not a border that excludes, but a membrane that holds multiplicity. On either side, signs accumulate, fragments of belief systems, mythologies, rituals, and visual languages. They carry their histories with them, but here they are recontextualized—no longer fixed within their original frameworks, but entering into dialogue with one another.
What emerges is not a seamless fusion but a layered coexistence. The work resists the idea of multiculturalism as harmony or flattening. Instead, it suggests a more complex condition: one where cultures touch, influence, interrupt, and reshape each other. The symbols seem to wait for permission, or perhaps for the right moment, to pass through and be transformed. It asks what it means to cross from one identity into another, from singularity into plurality. What is carried through, and what is left behind? What changes in the act of passing?
In this sense, the work reflects on integration not as assimilation but as an ongoing process of negotiation.
A continuous reconfiguration of meaning, where no element remains untouched.

2023 Meeting Under The Sun
Installation with @roosnieboer in @blanco_platform

With @house_of_bone.s

A beautiful farewell to the beautiful space of Blanco.

Space, where many artists were able to expirement and create, communicate, and greet each other.

Thank you to the team of Blanco and Jonas, especially for all the help that was provided to all my projects.

More documented projects are coming up.
