The official music video for Gone Too Far is out today! Please click the link in bio to watch the full video - like, comment and share with a friend.

It’s hard to say how much this song, the live performances over the years since its inception and how the experience of shooting and creating this video has been truly transformative to me.

The line between this world and the next is very thin, and although it feels we’ve lost the ones we love, they’ve never really Gone Too Far.

IN LOVING MEMORY

#AlexOrbison #LoveAndLoss #Americana #AltCountry by @el3errolcolandro

Earlier this year I was given the once in a lifetime opportunity to tag along with the one and only @robertplantofficial and Saving Grace.

For four days I got to spend time with some of the kindest, most genuine and beyond-talented humans I have ever met.

When you first meet someone you’ve idolized since you were introduced to music, words have a funny way of becoming scarce. But what stayed with me most wasn’t the mythology of any of it.

It was the kindness.

@robertplantofficial @suzi.dian @matt_worley_musician79 @duotonecellist @olijeffersondrums and @tonykelseymusician welcomed me with a warmth and generosity I’ll never forget. They made space for me, trusted me to be there and allowed me to photograph something that clearly means a great deal to all of them. I’ll forever be grateful to each of them for making those four days what they were

Then I found out they wanted to use one of my photographs for a show flyer.

Seeing an image I made become even a small part of the world surrounding an artist whose music has followed me for most of my life was completely surreal.

And then came San Francisco.

Long before I ever met Robert, my mother had her own Robert Plant story. She met him in San Francisco back in the ’70s. Decades later, she was supposed to return to that same city with me to see him again this time through this chapter of my own life.
She was so excited for that show. She never made it there in the way we had planned, but I felt her there with me all the same.
After the show, one by one, everyone came over to @carriekeagan and I with open arms.

Not like acquaintances. Like family.

On a night that already carried so much, that meant more to me than they could possibly know.

I thought I was going to photograph a band for four days.

Somehow, I came away lucky enough to call these people friends.

And that still feels a little unreal to say. by @el3errolcolandro

This trip was more than just a trip. It was for healing, for solace, for a promise. One of the last things I talked to my mom about was the trip to the place in Mississippi where Muddy Waters grew up. I told her that I wished I could show her, and she responded with the biggest smile, “I’ll see you there.” Moments later, her soul was gone.

I stood at the crossroads next to the gin mill and looked out over the fields, past the store that was also a juke joint where Son House once played. The sun was dropping over the Delta, the cicadas were screaming in the trees, and the humidity hung thick in the air.

This was a place built on stories. Stories of loss, love, hardship, survival, longing, leaving, and carrying things that never really leave you. People took those stories and turned them into the blues.

My mom used to say to me, “Now you know what it’s like to play the blues.”

Standing there, I finally understood it differently. I had brought my own story to the Delta.

Then this beautiful gust of wind came through and wrapped around me.

She met me there. by @el3errolcolandro

It plays out less like a love song and more like a real-time argument — two voices trading accusations that are, line by line, really confessions. You wouldn’t know love if it paid your bar tab, picked you up when you were feeling sad... Every line lands like an insult and reads like a love letter.
The song builds from a dusty, late-night-bar-room ache into a full-blown power ballad, with violins and Hammond organ swelling underneath — until Erika’s closing vocal strips the defensiveness away and reveals the argument for what it always was: a love song.
As she trades with the aching slide guitar, tastefully crafted by @johnnystachela, the conversation leaves the realm of words altogether. It says everything pride wouldn’t allow either to admit. The crescendo into a glorious emotional peak dissolves into a begging tenderness—a reminder that beneath the sharpest accusations often lies the deepest longing to be loved.

As I write this with tears in my eyes, early this morning I said goodbye to my first best friend, my protector, the woman who taught me everything.
She was the light in this world that always shined when it was needed the most. She was the party, the after party and usually the reason why bail money was needed.
She was the one with the loudest laugh and the biggest heart, she was everyone’s friend. If you ever had the opportunity to meet her you would never forget her.
She is the reason I am the man who I am today.
Thank you for being my momma, I love you more than you’ll ever know. by @el3errolcolandro

California run with @officialcult last year. I went to capture photos, but between the shows turning into something closer to ceremony than concert, I couldn’t help but grab video too. This is what I got by @el3errolcolandro

Beyond grateful to have made this happen. And honestly… who doesn’t love a phone booth in the middle of the desert? by @el3errolcolandro

They told me a man should carry his burdens
without ever letting them be seen.

So I learned to bury my fears,
to swallow my tears,
and to wear strength like an old leather coat.

But time taught me something different.

There is no courage in hiding your scars.

The strongest man is the one
who dares to be known—
who opens his heart,
even knowing it could be broken.

I’d rather be remembered
for loving without armor
than for living behind it.

As 2025 comes to a close, I’m grateful for the work I had the opportunity to do and the memories that came with it. This year taught me a lot—about patience, humility, and what matters. I’m carrying those lessons forward into whatever comes next. Most of all, I’m honored that these incredible artists trusted me to capture their moments and help tell their stories by @el3errolcolandro
