ETHEREAL. . .

:Delicately beautiful, graceful, and seemingly otherworldly.

I am Daniela Cristal Torres, a senior Mass Communications Digital Broadcast Production scholar hailing from the distinguished city of Atlanta, Georgia. Embodying ethereal through my presence, purpose, and progression, I proudly step into my role as Miss FACES of the Daytona Beach Chapter of FACES Modeling Troupe, Inc. for the 2026–2027 academic year.

In this position, I am prepared to lead with intention, uphold a standard of excellence, and make an impact that reaches far beyond the runway. I enter this chapter with grace, vision, discipline, and the confidence to command every space I occupy. As Miss FACES, I aim to embody the beauty of femininity while leading with purpose, authenticity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

The word is ETHEREAL.
The standard is excellence.
The presence is undeniable.
And The FACE is DANIELA.

Bethune-Cookman University Homecoming 2025 👑

As a proud Latina woman at an HBCU, I know what it means to walk with purpose and faith. I take pride in representing both my culture and our Wildcat family, two worlds that are stronger together. The love I received from the community was overflowing, and it reassured me that I do belong here.

This university was built by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune to create space for those who were once denied it. I’m deeply honored to fill that space with love, humility, and gratitude, bringing my own culture and perspective while celebrating the legacy she fought for. taken in Bethune-Cookman University by @fmt_daytona

God did it! ✨

This journey has been filled with so many smiles, hugs, and words of encouragement that I’ll never forget. Without God, my amazing Wildcat family, and everyone who believed in me, this moment wouldn’t have been possible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every student who voted and supported me. I’m truly honored to represent you. 💛

Throughout this process, I stayed humble, trusting that God’s will would prevail. Every candidate ran a beautiful campaign and represented B-CU with grace and strength, we are all queens.

I told God that if this wasn’t meant for me, it wouldn’t happen, but if it was part of His plan, He would make a way, and that’s exactly what He did. No amount of campaigning, connections, or cookies could have created this moment. Only faith and favor.

Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune once said, “World peace and brotherhood are based on a common understanding of the contributions and cultures of all races and creeds.” Her words remind me daily why I love this university, a place built on faith, service, and unity.

My heart is with this school, and I will do everything in my power to represent Bethune-Cookman with class, faith, and love.

Thank you, BCU. 💛
