New addition to our drum collection 🥁💙

Our new house kit is a beautiful Mapex Saturn VI in Cobalt Blue Burst, picked up from our good friend @paulmundaydrums .

Featuring hybrid maple and walnut shells, this kit delivers the punch, attack and definition we love for rock and alternative productions.

The setup:
🥁 22x17” kick
🥁 10x7” and 12x8” rack toms
🥁 16x14” floor tom

It sounds as good as it looks. Swipe through to the last slide for a quick playthrough from @sihopkinson .

We can’t wait to get this one on some records.

Ready when you are.

Control room set, dialled in, waiting for the next session.
From tracking to final mix, this is where our records come together.

Been experimenting with the @draliensmithuk DirtMic-01 on drums recently.

Adds this gritty, smashed room character underneath the main kit that sounds ridiculously good blended in, tons of saturated air which brings kits to life.

Really fun mic to work with.

🥁 3 mics. 1 snare. Which one are you taking?

We put the Sontronics DM-1S, Shure Beta 57 and Sennheiser e906 head-to-head on the same snare to see how much difference the mic really makes.

🎙️ @shure Beta 57

They all have their own thing going on, but which one sounds best to you?

I have so many people to thank for helping make this song happen, and I can’t thank you all enough.
