How does it feel to look at the world through someone else's eyes?

Pain, loneliness and the silence that follows is often painted as something repulsive in today's world. Yet, for me it has been the exact opposite. It's in the depths of this pain that a new facet of your personality comes to the surface. Mystics often refer to it as finding the treasures of your soul. Every pain serves to polish the mirror of your heart. Each trial opens ways for more light, making us more human. I often seek recourse in Allama Iqbal's poetry, who has written extensively on this topic. And so, I would like to quote one his famous poems "Sitare ka Paigham" or "The Star's Message" :
مجھے ڈرا نہیں سکتی فضا کی تاریکی
مری سرشت میں ہے پاکی و دُرخشانی
تو اے مسافرِ شب! خود چراغ بن اپنا
کر اپنی رات کو داغِ جگر سے نورانی
I fear not the darkness of the night;
My nature is bred in purity and light;
O Traveler of the night! Be a lamp to thyself;
With thy passion's flame, make thy darkness bright.
---
One must not rely on external help during difficult times. Someone whose very nature is light should not fear the darkness. That's humanity's true liberation.

![My notion of time has changed a lot this summer. A day can feel endlessly long, while a month passes by without us even noticing. I had told myself "it's just 3 months", but man....these have been the most extraordinary 3 months of my life. From the cold mountains of Gilgit to the deserts of Iraq and Iran, from one culture to another. And it was during this journey that I noticed how much I loved traveling. I heard a senior saying "Travel a lot. Go to places where no one knows you." That's what traveling does, it teaches you humility, makes you see things previously invisible, clears your mind and gives you a different perspective on life. For me, this summer holds memories, I would cherish forever. ❤️
"If you're the same person after traveling, then you haven't travelled enough."
~ Me
P.S: Next destination - Syria (InshaAllah)

"I saw nothing but beauty."
These were the words of Lady Zainab sa in the courtyard of Ibn e Ziyad and I always used to wonder why she said that. How could someone who has lost her entire family right in front of her eyes say that? But maybe I had forgotten the deep spiritual insight and patience Lady Zainab carried. Arbaeen, 20th safar marks 40 days after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain as and his companions. Every year millions of Muslims and non-muslims from all over the world gather and walk from Najaf to Karbala, keeping the spirit of humanity alive. This year Allah gave me a chance to take part in this blessed walk and since then I've been struggling to put my feelings into words. All I've got to say is "O Lady Zainab, I can finally see the beauty you saw. Indeed it is nothing but beauty."
To my friends:
I tried my best to photograph my journey. Apologies for the delay. I hope you all like it. Wsalam!

I would never be able to express my love for these mighty peaks. Luckily, I found pictures that I thought had been deleted. These ones are from 2021. Just tried something new this time 😁
