Is this just me or can other educators relate?! 😅
I feel both accomplished and overwhelmed at the same time.
Day 1 is complete nonetheless! We stared + we planned. 👀👩🏻‍🏫

I never thought we’d actually win but here we are! We are so grateful to have experienced the World Cup at our home stadium. We’ll be telling this story to our future kiddos someday 🥹♥️

So pumped about securing my first pair of climbing shoes! 🤌🏽
I was so tired of the slipping (and the rental smell was rooough), so I decided to upgrade to the Butora Sierra. 🏔️
Having a pair that actually molds to your foot and gives you solid rubber support really levels you up! I’m already feeling way more confident working on my footwork skills and challenging myself on new routes! 💪🏽

Independent reading time with the class library at their fingertips + our interactive read aloud time has always been one of the most treasured parts of the school day for my students and me. 🤍📖

Right now, everything we own is packed away in boxes for our cross country move, but before taping the last box shut, I had to pull out a few staples from my collection. It takes years to build up a library (whether you are a teacher stocking a classroom or a parent creating a reading corner at home) and I’m so grateful for the titles I’ve gathered along the way. From building early relationships to teaching science through a fun lens, these 7 books were absolute fan favorites this year.

A massive shoutout to @scholastic and the magic of the Book Fair for keeping my shelves stocked with characters the kids genuinely look forward to reading! I’m eager to share more of the collection once I start setting up my new room and keep the love for reading alive for my upcoming students! 💗📚✨ by @elevated.teacher

Embracing the flaws, the slips, and the first steps. Month 3 of climbing is teaching me a lot more than I expected it to. 💪🏽🧗‍♀️

If you’re in California, consider stopping here to experience the magic of the giants.✨
If you’re looking for a sweet escape without the massive crowds or the long road trip, add Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park to your list.📍

There are plenty of worthwhile trails here but the Redwood Grove Loop Trail is an incredibly easy, flat loop trail perfect for a little fam adventure that lets you walk right through a grove of ancient Redwoods. Taking in the crisp, fresh air was everything! It’s perfect for a slow morning/evening walk, a family day out, or just a quick nature reset. ☀️

Thanks to @alltrails for leading us here and being the most reliable resource when it comes to finding the greatest trails!🥾

Feeling so grateful for the past three years. Three classes full of kiddos who taught me how to be a teacher. Three years of a 100 mile round-trip commute (through the literal and metaphorical) mountains and valleys. I wish I could watch all of my California firsties grow up, but I’m honored to have been a part of their journey. Teaching is a dream and I’m grateful to continue living it out with the Georgia babies so soon. For now, we REST! 💕✏️ by @elevated.teacher
