𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰!

Two years, eight countries and 400 postcards later and here we are, holding the album of Roam in our hands. Roam contains fourteen songs written in several countries , zooming in on the thoughts that people throughout Europe feel towards connection, friendship and loneliness. Roam is almost like a book, with chapters filled with encounters over the past two years.

For Roam I converted my VW into a mini concert venue on wheels and started travelling. I asked my audience to step inside and listen to my concert for 15 minutes. While doing that I handed them a postcard saying: ‘I believe in Eliëns, so let’s connect’ and asked them to write down some thoughts for me. At the end of the show they were able to stick their personal writings on the inside-wall of the van, turning it more and more into a microcosm about the well-being of Europe.

These 400 cards were the main inspiration for Roam and resulted into the songs that are NOW available on all platforms for you to listen.

As an ode to friendship and connection. And against the growing loneliness around us. I now invite you to drift away into my universe and let yourself be comforted by my melodies.

I believe in other Eliëns, so let’s connect.

Love,
👽

Yes! We’re back!
After a lovely summer full of adventures with our fresh new family , we’re back for some music, some theatre , and basically a full year of artistic projects.
I’ll promise to share more about all of this on a current base again; but I can already tell you: I’ll be touring with @wabisabitheater throughout the Netherlands in 2026/2027. And afterwards there’s another one to come…
Meanwhile @jorge.da.rocha.music is writing a new album , @wirsindzuhause is organizing a great new residency program and soon Jorge and me have some royal news to share with all of you 🫅🤴

But first I leave you to it with some cameraroll gems from the last weeks.

Lots of love from us,

From the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, Portugal and Italy 🤍

How big are the odds… more then two years ago the two of us wrote a little song together. We recorded it for a possible feature track on the Roam album but it never made it on the record.

A few months ago , Jorge found it again; between old files and new music sketches. We decided to finally finish it and set a release date. Not knowing that the week and moment of release would align so much with our current house struggles…

The song is called ‘Home’ and talks about the meaning of this specific word. In the midst of a very difficult period of trying to find a new home together this song expresses the emotions around all of this.
(By the way: don’t be worried , we found a solution that keeps us safe for the moment, so you can listen to this song without being concerned about us. To be continued though…🙏)

But still… how big are the odds and how clear it seems , that the topic of ‘home’ exists like a red thread in our lives.

For now we just want to thank you all for supporting us in the past weeks and share this vulnerable little song with you.

Presave in our bio!

Out this Friday ❣️Available on all your favorite streaming platforms.

Thank you @oranjewoudfestival for having us. Our first tour with a travelparty of 3️⃣.

Last week we went on tour: first stop @oranjewoudfestival for a nice concert together, second stop included Élénie’s rehearsals for @wabisabitheater (upcoming theatre tour starting in September) while Jorge started the first research for his new album…👀 (to be continued)
Last stop was at @garagetdi for the composition of new music for the show ‘Zunder’ at @festivalderaa in July.

What a week, what a weather and what a blessing to see that baby Lou enjoys the artistic lifestyle and travels as much as we do. ➡️Swipe for proof of that enjoyment 🥹

Thanks for having us! We can’t wait for the next adventure to begin.

Lots of love from us !

Eliën and Jorge by @elien.official

If I could find the words to express how complex the journey of motherhood truly is. And I’ve been only seeing the tip of the iceberg throughout pregnancy, matrescence and giving birth. If only this complexity and the support it truly needs would be something we actually see and embrace in our society. A society shaped by others and full of opinions, critical eyes and a lack of encouragement and empathy. At same time I say these words because I have the huge privilege to experience it differently. And this gives me the space to reflect from a distance. With a wonderful support system and a partner that equally takes part in this journey. And every time our environment sees this they remind us of ‘how special’ this equality is.
I call Jorge ‘mummy-daddy’ because the definition of what is expected from a father in this society gives too less credit to him. At the same time it shows what the word ‘mother’ means and how incredibly layered and responsible that is.
Today is my first Mother’s Day. But I also dedicate it to my partner who thankfully bends the narrative. And to all the mother’s before, besides and after me. The ones who want to , the ones who once were and the ones who miss their own mothers today. Mothers come in all shapes and sizes. And so Mother’s Day does. Happy Mother’s Day.
