Hey my name is Elijah and 3 years ago I decided to step into the gym not knowing how impactful it would be to my life. And now here we are💭 by @elijahcothrine

My first Bodybuilding show

I am truly blessed to be able to experience this in my life. The ability to set a goal and go through all the challenges in my journey of growth to finally step on stage was euphoric in a way. I am so grateful for all the support from my friends, family and people in the community. And want to give a special thank you to my coach @andrewpaulfit for guiding me through this process till the end.

3 things I changed that took me from lost to locked in...

1year of training doing things wrong vs 2 years of training right

Creating a healthy relationship with the gym. A lot of people talk about how you need to be very disciplined to build your dream physique or a healthy body, but no one talks about how hard it is to stay disciplined even with a Great goal. One thing that helps me when it comes to the gym is focusing on the process and not the outcome.

Not following random workouts.
When I was just starting out in the gym, I would look at my favorite bodybuilder as inspiration, because there were big, I would just completely follow the workouts, not realizing that they were on anabolic steroids they can pretty much do anything and still grow. What you want to do instead is build a workout split that fits you and your physique making a split with a group of exercises until you can get a very strong with those and then once that’s the case, you can switch your exercise select selection.

Letting my sleep not be a priority.
When it comes to overall health and building your physique, most of the time sleep is overlooked because of how boring it may seem. This is completely wrong. I have found out that when I am getting good sleep for at least a week, My strength increases, I feel more vibrant and I feel pretty much unstoppable. by @elijahcothrine
